After looking at several compact shredders I'm convinced this is the best unit on the market. This little powerhouse has the ability to shred darn near anything including unopened junk mail envelopes of virtually any thickness. After using the machine hundreds of times I've never once succeeded in jamming it. It also does a great job on CD/DVD discs as well as credit cards and papers with staples and/or paperclips. Due to it's compact slot width, normal 8.5 x 11" (or larger) paper must be folded in half but this minor inconvenience is easily outweighed by the overall performance of the unit. My only caveat, be sure to dump the waste basket after each shredding session. If allowed to overfill, the excess will end up all over the floor when you slide the basket out. All things considered I would definitely recommend this unit to anyone.

My main reason for buying a paper shredder was to shred junk mail. After several different kinds of shredders this is the best at it by far. The mail goes right in without having to remove it from envelope. It will go through staples and paper clips as well. Other shredders I had would get bogged down doing that. These shredders were all more expensive than this one. If you want a shredder that you can toss mail into without having to worry about it, then this is your shredder!

I'm purging my small office area and room at home. I needed something that could handle a big job up front but would be used for small everyday use afterward. This little machine has been great! I ran it for over half an hour yesterday before it got too hot and it recovered within 5 mins. to finish the job. It's a hassle when doing a big job to have to empty the little bucket every 5 or 10 mins but think it is perfect for small everyday use. The feeder is small and requires you to fold full sheets in half to put them through, but to me its not a big deal for the use it was designed for. I was nervous about buying any shredder after other reviews I was reading but this one is exactly what I needed for some small business and personal use. Highly recommend for small regular use.
