Challenging and disturbing

Owned for 8 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm not sure Inland Empire is the best David Lynch movie, but it's certainly the MOST David Lynch movie, a three-hour freak-out into his head that plays like a graduate-level survey of all his filmic/artistic obsessions. Not an easy sit - I love Lynch, and I struggled with this - but an endlessly challenging one. And if you can get on its same wavelength? A rewarding one, too.

INLAND EMPIRE IS A MASTERPIECE OF CONFUSION

INLAND EMPIRE isn't for everybody's liking, but it nonetheless deserves to be seen, experienced and enjoyed for its dark, clever, challenging story telling. Laura Dern's remarkable performance is at the core of this often-confusing example of masterful cinema.

If you like these kind of movies this is right up your alley! Not for the faint of heart!

Mysterious and cryptic
