Since its beginning, Pixar cranked out instant classics beginning with its initial success with "Toy Story". It was when the company released "Cars 2", as enjoyable as it was, that the computer-animation film company lost its mojo, releasing mediocre films instead of its usual superbly excellent level (I would say that "Monsters University" was pretty good, but not great as the pre-"Cars 2" films are). "Inside Out" was a wonderful treat and arguably the best Pixar movie released to date. Intellectual, thought-provoking, funny, and downright human, this film is pleasing for all ages and, well, an emotional roller-coaster, taking us through our basic natural emotions throughout the film. I have yet to meet someone who hasn't both laughed and shed a tear while watching this movie. Personally, I didn't experience this film in 3D in the theater, but Disney always does a superb job with its 3D releases, and I believe that 3D animation films were meant to be experienced in the 3rd dimension. So whether or not you own a 3D TV, pick up the 3D edition of this movie because if one day you purchase one, you'll want to delight your senses with a whole new dimension of the film experience! A MUST-OWN!

This a movie to watch with your family. It shows how to embrace your emotions and not to hide them.

Our son had to watch this movie for a class in college. Told my wife about it, and she had to have it.

The film itself is a gem, and hits very close to home for anyone who has been a teenager, or who has one at home. It personifies what it means when different emotions take control without warning, and that returning to your childhood (when Joy usually ran the show) isn't really an option.. The disc set includes a DVD and 3 Blu-Ray discs: - bonus disc (2D) with the deleted and behind-the-scenes clips - 3D feature disc with Feature & Lava - 2D feature disc with Feature, Lava, Riley's 1st date, and additional behind-the-scenes features. The digital copy is redeemed through disneymoviesanywhere.com (via digitalcopyplus.com). Using the code immediately gave me the choice of providers for the movie: iTunes, Vudu, Google Play, Amazon video, Cinema Now, offering the option of going with the providers directly or linked to Disney Movies Anywhere. DMA was giving errors, so I opted to download from iTunes directly (where it can be left in the cloud or downloaded immediately). There, the iTunes version includes the same extras and shorts as on the discs. the DMA site apparently has additional extra/bonus features, but I gave up waiting for that site to come back up.

Enjoyable movie for all ages. If you prefer videos (over streaming) this is a very good purchase.

Inside Out is another one of Disney PIXAR's great movies. The steelbook case is cool, too.
