Customer Ratings & Reviews

I absolutely love my freezer! I can easily see everything and no digging like a chest freezer. Very spacious and versatile. I love that of I ever need it to be a fridge that i have that option unlike other upright freezers.

I got this to replace a 13cf chest freezer, as I purchased a quarter beef and didn’t have enough room for the added meat. I filled two shelves with the new meat, plus a box of bones (about a cubic foot). I have a freeze dryer, and one of my criteria was to be able to fit my trays on the shelves. The trays are about 21”, and they fit easily with room to spare. I love that it has an interior light, as my other upright does not. We only had a 20 minute drive with the unit on its back, but we waited 4 hours before plugging it in. It was a 0° within an hour. We have had it 3 weeks, and so far it has been holding the temperature perfectly. This freezer lives in our heated garage, where we keep the temperature between 60-70° on average.

Great buy. I have had this for one month and it's much larger than I anticipated. The price point was spot on, all the competitors items were $400.00 more. Good for what I need it to do. The temp control on the outside is very convenient. Delivery and removal was quick efficient and professional.

Alright, here we go: --- I recently purchased the Insignia 17 cu ft Upright Deep Freezer, and I couldn't be more thrilled! This freezer is an absolute game-changer. First off, the sheer storage capacity is mind-blowing—17 cubic feet of space means I can stock up on everything from bulk meats to frozen veggies and even those giant tubs of ice cream that never seemed to fit in my old freezer. What really sets this freezer apart is its sleek, upright design. It fits perfectly in my garage without taking up too much floor space, yet it holds an impressive amount. The interior layout is super user-friendly, with adjustable shelves and ample door storage, making it easy to organize everything and access what I need without digging through endless layers of frozen food. One of my favorite features is the fast freeze option. It quickly brings the temperature down to lock in freshness, which is a lifesaver when I bring home groceries that need immediate freezing. Plus, it's surprisingly quiet—none of that loud humming or buzzing you might expect from a freezer this powerful. The build quality is top-notch, and I appreciate the energy efficiency—it keeps my utility bills in check while still delivering outstanding performance. The bright interior light and intuitive digital controls are just icing on the cake, making it a breeze to use, even in low-light conditions. Overall, the Insignia 17 cu ft Upright Deep Freezer is a fantastic investment. It combines excellent design, ample storage, and reliable performance. I couldn't recommend it more highly!

Amazing fridge/freezer. Got this about a year ago and have switched between the two for holiday party’s and overall use. Had a flash freeze mode which works after grocery shopping to avoid spoilage too!

Really happy with this purchase. The door seal is tight, you can adjust the temperature, it’s spacious. Everything I wanted. The only minor complaint is that there isn’t hardware to switch what side the door opens on.

This is a great freezer. I love the fact with a push of a button, it can convert to a refrigerated Very spacious in side and easy to organize frozen items. After we purchased it our refrigerator went out so it was perfect.

We like this so much, we now have 2. One as a freezer, one as a fridge. So far so good. The price was the initial attraction. The versatility of freezer or fridge and quality made it the best deal.

Love the freezer!! The delivery guys were fantastic - highly recommend!

This was a Christmas gift to my son and daughter -in-law and they just love it. They especially like the fact that it can be either a refrigerator or freezer whichever they choose.

After one month the freezer is holding temperature between -5 to 0 f consistently. The door seals are tight, it is quiet, and has plenty of room. It was a good purchase.

Bought this because of the value, good reviews and open door alarm. Pros: Glass shelves, roomy, well lighted inside, temp control and lockout feature on outside of door, open door alarm. Cons: Only one gripe, but I think it’s important. The auto defrost feature has this thing going from my 5 degree setting up to 30-34 degrees every 48 hrs! I know this because I have a Level Sense wifi thermometer setup inside the freezer and it notifies me every time the temp goes above 24 degrees (bought because my kids were notorious for not shutting the door tight on my old one.). I thought this was a flaw of the freezer but saw in the Q&A this is designed this way to cycle warm air inside to prevent ice build-up. It pushes warm air through then re-freeses within an hour. So, everything inside gets condensation on it when it does this. I worry that my meat, ice cream, etc will get freezer burn. It seems like it wouldn’t be very efficient either running this way. Hate to go thru the hassle but I am probably going to return this and get a different brand.

Excellent product at a fair price. We replaced our old freezer and have been using it for over a month. Very satisfied!

I am very happy with my new Insignia 17 cu ft garage ready convertible freezer. It is working well and has an abundance of space. I'm looking forward to filling it with all the goodies I make for the holidays to give to family and friends. I wish I didn't wait this long to buy an upright freezer.

We absolutely love this freezer! We replaced a small chest freezer and this upright is a game changer. We also love the fact that it will convert between refrigerator and freezer as needed. We have it in our garage and it keeps our food much colder than any other freezer I’ve ever owned. So happy with it, we ordered another for my home baking business. Now, our 14-year-old refrigerator freezer has died in the garage. We will be replacing it with our third insignia and use it as a full refrigerator.

We absolutely love this freezer/refrigerator. The crew that came to install it in our garage were courteous and very knowledgeable. This holds a lot and we love the storage on the door for bagged items. When we run low on freezer items we will turn it back into a fridge during the holidays for all the extra guests. Easy push of the button on the front of the door for conversion. Highly, highly recommend!

I bought 2 of these for my garage. Most of the year I will use them both as freezers but I like having the option to change them over to refrigerators if the need arises. I switched the one to a refrigerator for overflow food during Christmas. I am so happy I decided to get these!!

Love this fridge! It can convert from full size refrigerator only to full size freezer only, which would be very handy sometimes, but we only need a full size fridge with no freezer, so this is perfect in every way! It cannot "accidently" get switched over to freezer (which I was concerned about with small hands and curious fingers!) it is very intentional with the the button lock and always visible display telling you what it is set on. I love having an entire refrigerator without having to share part of it with a freezer!

Smaller dimensions with larger capacity than our dead one. Can become a refrigerator though not sure I’d ever use it as that. Really good value too

Love the fact that it can be either a refrigerator or freezer for what ever your need is. Thermostat is on the door so you do not have to open to adjust settings. It's also spacious
