Customer Ratings & Reviews

I love the freezer. The drawer and shelves allow me to separate everything I have in there. The temperature control on the door lets me set the temp inside. I also like the it beeps when you open and close the door. It’ll also beep if you leave it open to remind you to close it. The stainless steel door allows me to write on it with white board markers to keep track of what is inside. Best decision to buy this freezer!

I can’t even begin to describe how amazing this freezer was! I love it! It holds so much! We got this for meat storage and I love it. Now we can see everything we have without having to dig through our chest freezer.

We bought this freezer October of 2023. We thought we would be switching back and forth with the refrigerator and freezer options. We have used it as a feeezer all but twice. It works so good with the -11 below zero it is our preferred deep freeze. We love it and will always have one from now on.

This unit is freeze or fridge only. Which works for us as we have a deep freezer. Is has no water dispensing capabilities, which is wonderful since that is the first thing to break on any fridge. It makes a beeping noise when it opens and a dinging if opened for too long.

This refrigerator/freezer is great. I got it to use as a refrigerator, and it is suited to the task. It has plenty of space, and cools great. I haven’t tested to see if the internal temperature matches the temperature set on the screen, but it seems to be as cold as you would expect.

I purchased two of these for my garage. One as a refrigerator and one as a freezer. We are 6 months in and overall the units are really nice. They maintain their temps and have a fair amount of storage space. The 3-star rating is for the quality of the units. I have had issues with the handles on both units. One, I was able to remedy myself. The other, the handle completely broke off. I contacted Insignia and was told this is a wear and tear issue and that it is not covered by the warranty. Really? After less than 6 months of use, it’s going to break. So, overall, the unit is good but don’t expect help from the manufacturer if you have an issue.

Was unsure if it would be big enough. But it was. Sealed really good. Had the power off for a few days. The only a few things thawed a little. Some dread on door as well as ice cream. That was all. Meat was still frozen & pre made dishes. I can also use it as a extra refrigerator it I need one. ( Like all the food for holidays)

This is a great freezer. The shelves are spacious. The temperature is consistent.

Fantastic fridge!! I purchased for my sourdough business and it holds so many loaves!

I love that it is convenient and convertible. It was a good value compared to other ones on the market

This is a great freezer/refrigerator! We own the same brand chest freezer, so we knew the quality would be really good. We are very satisfied with the price too. I also like the fact that it can be a huge refrigerator. It’s not something that I’m probably going to use, but it’s a nice option. It has more than enough room for all of my food. I would definitely recommend this product.

I ordered an open box with a small scratch on front. Works beautifully! No problems at all!

Love it. It’s perfect for my household! Using as a freezer currently

Plenty of space and works well with the temper changes in the garage.

Best upright refrigerator from Insignia 17 Cubic feet So quiet at night you can barely hear it It is also a freezer

I was convinced to buy this freezer after I saw how my friends own is working. I convinced my friend to buy this upright freezer and she is loving it. My freezer broke down and it was an opportunity to get one. The freezer beeps when it opens and automatically locks after closing making it difficult for kids to be going back and forth in it. It freezing very well. I just hope that it is durable.

Excellent freezer/fridge. It can be used as either or. We use it as an upright freezer in our garage. Love it way better than our previous deep freezer. I have no complaints about it. We love it.

I love this convertible refrigerator/freezer unit! We bought it as a spare refrigerator, my freezer just went out, we were able to switch it over and replace my freezer that went out. Now, I’m going to purchase another back-up unit! We have a 21cu.ft. that I use for my refrigerator and the 17cu.ft like a side by side for my refrigerator and freezer, plenty of room!

Perfect for our needs. We had an overabundance of okra and a shortage of storage. Our two refrigerator freezers were not up to the task so this 17 cu foot upright freezer saved the day. The only improvement I would like to see is the ability to switch the digital display to toggle between temperature setting and actual temperature.

This freezer has been a fantastic addition to our garage. It can operate as both a fridge or a freezer and has consistently maintained the appropriate temperature without any hassle. It took less than 10 minutes to setup and the quick freeze option worked like a charm. The LED display and external controls make controlling the temp super easy. Overall this has been a huge upgrade for our family and we couldn’t be more pleased.
