Only thing is that it is pretty noisy. If you want something quiet definitely avoid this. But all in all, good price for good fridge

This refrigerator surprised me with it's design and features and above all pleased my wife. I would strongly recommend buying this refrigerator before spending hundreds more on a similar model. I'm a happy camper!!

Surges to 850 watts when starting

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to replace a 15 year old unit in my utility room, for the sole purpose of being able to power it with a power bank during a power outage. Looking at tbe specs, this fridge is rated at 1.2 amps, and defrost power at 251 watts, so i thought my 500W power station can run it. It will run it, until it attempts to start the compressor and power is cut from my power bank. I monitored it using a watt meter. For some reason it surges to 850 watts on start up, and settles down to 60-70 watts. My main fridge which is a larger unit rated at 1.5 amps maximum surge is under 400 watts, and I can power it with a even smaller power bank with no issue. This huge surge issue more or less defeated my entire purpose of dumping a perfectly functioning fridge for. I would not have bought it had i known. Other than that, it is a nice fridge. I like that the freezer section is bigger than my old one and is lit. Apart from the starting wattage surge it is a bit more efficient than my old 15 year old unit, which I actually expected even more efficiency given that it is much newer. My use case may be a bit odd, but I will have to rate it 3 star overall and 2 star under the ease of use category, and will not recommend based on my use case. If this is not an issue for you then it is a good fridge at a decent price.
