Watch the remote sensor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.There are reports of the TV remote not being able to turn on or off the TV. I had problems. I had to prop the TV on the fireplace mantle while working on it's install and decided to try the TV. It wouldn't turn on with the remote and there aren't any buttons to turn on the TV. Samsung has the remote sensor hanging down from the bottom frame by a 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch and the TV was resting on the sensor. I soon realized the sensor was pressing the circuitry within the TV (the light within the sensor was flashing erratically.) As soon as it was elevated, the flashing stopped and the remote on and off started working.. Poor design which could cause long-term problems.

This TV is a great value!

Boy, am I glad I did. This TV is clear, efficient, sound is perfect. . . I love everything about it, not to mention the price. I highly recommend the Insignia TV.
