Customers praise the picture quality, size, and price of the 19" Class (18.5" Diag.) - LED - 720p - HDTV, finding it easy to use and set up. However, some customers note that the stand is a bit flimsy and the volume could be improved. A few also mention challenges with the remote control and reception.

I needed a small television for spare room at a budget price. I checked a lot of ads and there were not many smaller TVs. I didn't want something to take up the entire room and I didn't want to pay a lot of money. This was perfect and the price was right. And it had more remote features than I had expected.

Thank you very much for reviewing this TV, I am glad that it fit your needs and for what I see also exceeded your expectations, another great feature of this TV is that actually it is covered for a full year under manufacturers warranty to have this checked by your local Geek Squad. Works well as second monitor

I decided to get a second screen for my computer and decided to go with a TV instead of an actual monitor. I have limited desk space, so I opted for the 19". The screen is crisp, better than the laptop I have it hooked up to. It has good sound, not that it mattered as much to me. My only complaint is the stand. I could not get the legs tightened enough so that they don't wiggle. I found that a little annoying, but otherwise an excellent set for the price.

    Amazing TV for the $

We bought this TV for use in our kitchen as the controls were sticking on our old Insignia 15" TV. The old one ran 12 hrs a day for 8-9 years so I expected this one to be decent.. What I didn't expect from the $70 TV was the amazing picture! (We installed this one on a Digital HD TV antenna and gave up cable in the kitchen.) The wife marvels at it every time she walks by it. Size was perfect and set-up simple. Couldn't be happier.

    Adequate

I bought this TV as a "temporary" TV for my son to play video games on. It worked adequately for the intended purpose. CONS: thin sound (small speakers), lcd native raster is 1366x768 (which means 720p is slightly upscaled and 1080p is downscaled); harming the picture quality of both. But the biggest minus of all, is the stand. Two angled widgets that screw into the bottom. Assembly was easy enough, but when I initially installed the stand, the monitor angled *downward* about 20 degrees with this stand design. This is fine if the monitor is placed on a shelf higher than eye level, but just awful if the monitor is sitting in front of you on a desk. But wait! There's a reason. The stand legs are marked "L" & "R"; you'd think that would pertain to the left side and right side of the monitor (looking at the screen). But you'd be wrong (as I was!). Next to where each stand leg goes, there's an embossed letter; "L" on the RIGHT SIDE bottom of the TV and "R" on the LEFT SIDE bottom of the TV. If you match up the letters, the TV stands exactly vertically, at 90 degrees to the table. Shame on Best Buy / Insignia for this faux-pas! PROS: Inexpensive cost, matte screen helps keep reflections off the screen, small size for using where there is not much room.

Good little TV for a kitchen to replace a dead TV. Sound quality good for my needs, morning news, watching while cooking. Is small enough to fit under counter and picture is really clear and sharp to see across the room. Very satisfied for what I needed.

    Perfect Kitchen TV

Great picture, color out of the box. Perfect size shape for the kitchen. Hooked to small outdoor antenna & getting all my available channels. Hooked to my extra computer speakers so no sound issues here. Feet/stand are a weak area. Remote is compact, but well laid out, easy to program. This is my 4th Insignia tv, all still going strong from 7 years up. I got open box with no issues, like new.

    Five Stars for the Value

I sold TV's for over ten years (most of it in a high-end store) and have written several articles about audio and video products. I have also done a good bit of buying and selling of used audio/video gear. I had rather low expectations of this TV which I bought for a grandchildren's' playroom since I have considered Insignia to be a decent but still entry-level brand. I have been favorably impressed by this little TV, however. It has an excellent picture that required only minor tweaking once I got it home. The tuner has great reception for over-the-air broadcasts. I was quite amused at the only one-star review given for this TV -- given for the TV being "too small," which I think says much more about the reviewer than it does about the TV, which is truthfully advertised as a 19" TV (18.5" to be precise). Applications for 19" TV's may be relatively few but if that is the size one needs I think this model is a good value.

    Great SOUND for 19"!!

I needed a small tv with a good picture and better sound, for the size of the set. What I GOT was a tv with a terrific picture and EXCELLENT sound (I specifically searched the reviews for comments about the sound before buying). Can you imagine happily paying only $69 for a small tv, then being forced to spend hundreds on speakers or a sound bar, just to make it usable? At some point, consumers need to put their collective foot down. I don't know about you but if decent sound is sacrificed to make for a thinner tv, that's a trade-off I'm not willing to make. I get why people might want a huge sound system for the one tv in the house where the game is always on, but I know I don't want a bunch of dust-collecting boxes and gadgets wired up to every single tv in my house. I don't have the space for it, don't want to pay for all that, and I especially do not want to CLEAN all that. None of that is a concern with THIS set, however. If you want a great little set that offers a lot for a great little price, well, here you go. I'm considering purchasing at least one more. Such a great deal.

I don't normally write a lot of reviews but I felt compelled to do one on this TV. The price was great and the product is excellent. We were looking for a small TV for the kitchen and this one is perfect. Picture is excellent and we were able to bring in 48 channels with a small antenna since our cable is too far from the kitchen. Very, very happy!
