Nice looking freezer or fridge. Whichever you prefer to use it as. Bought it to replace a deep freezer. Tried it as a fridge for the first week. Worked great. Tested Temperature is true to digital display. Changed it to freezer and it cooled down very quickly. Temp readings also match digital display. So far it's a great purchase. It is so much easier to find items in this compared to the deep freezer I have. Only thing that may cause some people issues is that the door seals really well (which is a good thing) but could be slightly difficult for some to open. Will probably buy another to use as dedicated fridge.

I’ve had this for over a year and works great and have great space. It is a little tricky to open. I’ll be buying another one.

Great size and great for my garage I like the fact you can use it as a refrigerator or a freezer. I’m using mine as a refrigerator because I have two deep freezers already. Great for a second refrigerator for the garage

My Insignia Freezer was delivered and installed 11/25. It is exactly as I expected and the delivery/installation great! I know it has only been a few weeks but we are off to a great start. It has been running flawlessly so far.

Purchased the Insignia Convertible Fridge/Feeezer to compliment our Whirlpool Deep Freezer. We loved the look, space and shelves but the unit is best served as a Freezer. The fridge doesn’t hold temperature as it says it will; the settings are 35-40 degrees for the fridge but even at 35, the fridge will go to 44+ degrees often. Fortunately, we only put drinks in there so nothing spoiled but this is unacceptable for a fridge as anything 40+ will spoil food. Again, the freezer works flawlessly but don’t buy as a fridge. Had I not already had a Freezer, I would have kept this for that function as I like it better than our Whirlpool. As a side note, Insignia system support stated the Fridge function is meant to aim to keep food at the set temperature but may fluctuate. Not recommended as a Fridge; recommended for a freezer.

Have no complaints on this freezer so far. We get a half beef and store it in there. We also buy raw pet food. There is plenty of room for all that plus our groceries. Never going back to a chest freezer again.

Both refrigerators are working well. We had aa issue with one. The top left on the door was dented.

This refrigerator/freezer is a big beast and is awesome. We bought it to use as a freezer. Seriously thinking of buying another one for refrigeration. Highly recommended over the chest type freezers.

Works really well. Love the convenience and ease of changing from freezer to fridge.

The only thing i can say bad about it. I wish it had a lock other than that its good

Great unit! I have 5 of this unit and they work great! I love that I can convert it to fridge or freezer. The blast freeze feature is awesome. We sell eggrolls and this upright unit making everything easy to pull out. The only downside is the handle. 1 unit the handle is already loose. But overall great!

I was worried about this purchase since there were so many reviews about it not keeping temperature. And yes, depending on when you look the temperature will be high. I'm using this as a refrigerator and when set on 35 degrees it cycles between 35 and 47 degrees. I think this is the way it is designed, but yes you should probably set it a couple of degrees lower than your "target" temperature. How long it stays at each temperature I don't know, that would be a good thing to plot out. Aside from that... oh this thing is great. I have three nine year old boys (triplets) and I'm very worried about their teenage years. As it is they can already eat quite a bit of food and they haven't even started on puberty. This will be a life saver for us. Because it's HUGE (It's taller than I am, and I'm 6'4"). This is the biggest refrigerator I've seen or used other than in commercial kitchens and I love it. In fact one of the delivery guys said his family has restaurants and they use a bunch of these. So... I'm glad I pulled the trigger. The temperature does go up and down, so keep that in mind. But it's close enough that I'm not worried about the food spoiling.

So far this refrigerator/freezer has worked well in both settings. Some people have mentioned issues with the refrigerator temperature varying a lot. While the temperature does vary as high as 44 degrees (when the setting is a 36 degrees), it only reaches this range for about an hour a day during the auto defrost cycle. Otherwise the temperature is very stable (usually +/- 2 degrees). Please note - the refrigerator is located in a garage environment that ranges from 70-85 degrees. I monitored the temperature via a Tempstick probe that automatically plots the temperature (I have included a snapshot of a recent 5 day period).

So roomy and just right for the garage. Using it as a refrigerator. Love the choice to use as either freezer or fridge.

Need extra food storage? Get a few of these. Will refrigerate or freeze with flip of a switch.

Nice size.. like the temp control...and that it can be a frig or freezer. Got 2 of them for my garage. One as freezer and one as frig.
