Not the best brand, but needed to replace our old Samsung. Volume sometimes is so low, but when you turn it up, it gets really LOUD! Karin

Pretty amazing value. I got this for $99.99 a few weeks ago, which was a great bargain; and have seen it now for $79.99, which is amazing. Really impressed that you can get so many features at such a reasonable price. Fire TV features work well, and provides a lot of functionality with many apps available. Picture quality is very acceptable, WiFi works well, and the TV has every input or output port you could possibly need. Really like the small size and light weight of it, because you can easily move it around to anywhere you might need it in your house or even outside the house provided you have a decent WiFi signal. Really quite impressed overall.

Decent picture, although quality of motion can't compare with my old plasma and even the ancient tube it replaced. Really like having Fire TV built in... no extra purchase and no extra box or stick in the way. The sound is not very good, but that was expected. The channel guide works well, and although it keeps track of multiple previous channels, I really wish there was a single dedicated last channel button to switch between two channels. I also wish numbers were included on the remote, as I don't always want to use the channel guide or voice commands. Another small annoyance is that it won't simply turn on to the last channel viewed. It always starts in the channel guide or Fire TV home. Overall, it seems hard to beat for the reduced/sale price of $99.

I purchased the 24" Fire Smart TV for a guest room. Well, I like it so much that it has given me incentive to consider replacing my cable company with a larger smart Fire TV. The TV has a beautiful picture, colors are vibrant and setup for Netflix, Youtube, Amazon, internet and many other free apps give this TV a thumbs up, and setting them up was easy. I did try adding a TV antennae but was able to pick up only three channels. I attribute that to living in a heavily wooded area with no close by internet towers. I also have the option of connecting it to my cable company but want to avoid another monthly charge. I really like this tv.

I have had Insignia Roku and this TV was a gift. I purchased it because it had to fit in a cabinet in a home office. Unfortunately, Insignia is being paired with Amazon for it's smart TV's now. The owner loves the great picture quality and it is just the right size. I still think it has some drawbacks: 1. It being an Amazon Fire Smart TV the Amazon products are featured heavily in the default home screen. 2. The remote does not have a "source" or "input" button rather you can ask Alexa to switch it using the mic button on the remote to talk to her. 3. I know this is an Insignia TV and Amazon Prime was an internal "addon", but you cannot talk to alexa without the remote and pressing the mic button. This is an Alexa home with several Alexa listening devices throughout the home so I am curious if it works with different Alexa devices. 4. The default TV input can be set to the last input used, but not for example HDMI 1 which for me is cable. This means the last thing I am watching is netflix and I turn it on in the morning to watch news it is still on netflix so I have to switch it over. 5. This is a real small flat screen TV with no built in handles designed in the back of the TV to lift or carry it? This is really very minor, but never crazy about TV's that essentially make you moving it around by holding the edge of the screen. 6. No Composite cable hook up only AV (RCA), Coaxial, and HDMI. AV (RCA) is great for older video cameras, but composite might be needed for older gaming platforms. Composite to HDMI converters are inexpensive, but it would take up another of your 3 HDMI inputs. I would rather get Composite plus 3 HDMI inputs. In case your wondering what I need 4 inputs for, it is Blu-Ray, Cable, Chromecast, and a gaming system.

We have a larger Fire TV (Toshiba) in our LR and a few Fire Sticks in other BR in the house. We wanted another TV for the guest room - the Alexa interface works great and all the aps we already loaded on our other units just loaded right up. The picture is clear, sound is good enough for a bed room - we really haven't turned it up loud enough to check to see what it would be like in a larger room or for other uses. Everyone works perfectly. We got this item on sale and it's still going strong. *note - if you lose the remote, BB is about the only place to get a reasonably priced OEM replacement (they are way higher priced on ALL other merchant sites) - but you can load the FireTV ap on your phone in a pinch. Highly recommend this TV!

Pro: - The size is perfect for the small space I have. - The picture quality is great. I've even used the TV as an external monitor to my computer for work. Some people don't think the resolution is good but I had no trouble. - Able to connect to all the apps pretty easily. Connecting to cable was relatively easy too. I could not find the AC power jack for a bit and it wasn't on the diagram! Cons: - The remote isn't great...sometimes it doesn't respond so I've used the voice command and that worked just fine. - l think the user interface could be better. I've found it puzzling at times. Overall - I'd buy this again

This TV has a good picture and decent sound and the fire stick apps built in make an addition unit unneeded. It was easy to set-up for Hulu-live and works well with the service. I wish that the original Fire stick and this TV control buttons were the same. sum of the buttons are not laid out the same which make for some confusion when switching from one room (control) to another. The wall mounting holes are in different (pattern) location compared to the last 24 inch insignia TV this one replaced making installation a bit more time consuming, other than those two minor inconveniences the TV has worked well for the past month with streaming services. For the price i would recommend this unit.

This is essentially the Toshiba Fire TV in a smaller size, with the Best Buy "Insignia" store brand, so all of the internet streaming features of the Fire TV are the same, including Amazon's "Alexa" interface as well as the remote control. I bought this to replace an old analog TV in the guest room. There are just four things you need to do to get this up and running. First, watch Best Buy's online video about how to unpack the set from the box and install the footstands (optional - not needed for a wall installation, obviously). Second, follow the easy setup instructions that are included in the box. Third, download the user manual, which contains much more detailed information than what is provided in the box. You may never need to refer to it, but it answers a lot of questions that might come up. Finally, using the remote, turn on the set and follow the step-by-step instructions. Make sure you have the volume up so that you can hear the audible instructions. We never dropped a cable TV line into the guest room, so everything was over-the-air (OTA) using a digital converter box and an antenna in the attic. Part of the setup instructions includes scanning for OTA channels, if that is how you will be receiving your local channels. The good news is that the set comes with a built-in tuner, so the digital converter box I was using was no longer needed. The only weaknesses in the OTA operation are the on-screen channel guide and the lack of numeric buttons on the remote. With the digital converter box, you would manually input the channel and then adjust the antenna position as needed for maximum signal strength, which is something you need to do if you do not live in the city where the signal originates. In my case, with the antenna in the attic, I have to use a remote control to rotate the antenna as needed. Since the Fire TV remote does not have direct entry capability, you have to use the on-screen channel list and scroll up or down with the remote to select the channel you want. If the channel you are looking for does not appear on the list, you have to move the antenna and re-scan. With the old digital converter box, I could just input the channel I wanted and then move the antenna until a decent signal was received. The lack of direct channel entry means you will have a lot of trial and error with the antenna positioning before the Fire TV finds it and adds it to the channel list. The other OTA issue is the on-screen channel guide itself. The guide is set up by channel name, not channel number, so instead of having the local channels and their digital subchannels all grouped together in numeric order (e.g., 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 4.4, etc.), you have the names and icons of each "network" (e.g., ABC, NBC, Fox, COZI, Movies!, LiveWell, Get, MeTV, Buzzr, Telemundo, Univision, etc.), along with the call signs of whatever independent stations the scan finds. This requires some brain retraining to look for "MyNetworkTV" instead of "Channel 9." The other unusual thing is that the on-screen guide does not differentiate between HD and SD signals, so you will see the same channel listed twice in those occasions with no explanation. All things considered, it's a minor annoyance. The guide itself is very good in that it provides enough detail about the programming on each channel. Bottom line this is a solid product with great features at a good price. It's not 4K, but at 24 inches, 720p is all you need.

This met and exceeded all of my expectations. I needed this size for where I was putting it and it was so easy to set up. I did it myself. I have cable in every room except the one where new tv is so I bought an inexpensive stick on the wall antenna and streamed thru my WiFi and Amazon Prime. Perfection!!Good picture and so many things that I haven't even gotten to yet. Even has a sleep timer which I love. I definitively recommend this Insignia TV. You can't go wrong, good price and quality.

We weren't looking to get a smaller tv at the time, we went in to pick up our 50" Sharp, but we went down this aisle and we saw all the best features we could want in this smart 24" tv! We snatched it right up...the price was amazing! This Tv is going into the spare room and with the Smart Tv features we don't need to get a cable box for that room now, we just need the Spectrum app, & like magic we will get the cable service ( you need to have cable service with them to use there app)! This TV is Amazing! Love it!

I purchased the 24” Insignia smart tv to put in our RV not really thinking too highly of it but to my surprise it is a great tv. It has all the great features of a smart tv and the picture plays flawlessly and clear. I wasn't looking for anything top of the line..just something with these exact options. The quality is bright and vibrant for a 720. The streaming with the fire tv is very nice as well. Alexa is also a great feature. I’m very happy with my purchase.

the tv picture is good, at this price point perfect(almost too clear for any needed makeup forgiveness on local live television). the fire tv channel line up is perfect, everything straightforward including accessing inputs, haven’t experienced any lags from one station to another. Downloading apps were straightforward. The remote is comfortable, easy navigation without having to input individual numbers and find correct input buttons etc. An awesome deal and I like the firetv configurations so much I am looking forward to receiving my firestick shipment soon, it doesn’t feel like a “internet toy” but an actual tv with exciting options, you can veer from television watching to flat out internet search and browsing if you download the browser which is simple but by the remote buttons it can make keyword input tedious, don’t really care for internet browsing on the tv but for whomever that would like to know it is an option. IMDb is included with amazon and you don’t have to be a prime member but just need to create if not already an amazon account which is free, i’m happy about that, no forced paid subscriptions just to get in the tv to watch, all in all i’m happy, the size for my needs is good(a little more than just to the point too large for a work desk lol).
