I had to replace my small television in the spare bedroom, but didn't want to spend a lot. The price was great, and I love this little set. It's very light, and the picture is great. When I first turned it on, the picture was small, but once it got warmed up, the picture filled the whole screen. The only minus I saw was that the screws to put the "feet" on had an unusual head. Not straight head and not really Phillips. The feet didn't feel stable, but I got a bracket so now that's not an issue. I would highly recommend this set.

This 24" TV is the perfect size for my small work area in my apt. I use it as a monitor for my computer stick and gaming on free time, the pic is good, but the speakers are not the best, the good thing is that it has an audio out jack for better speakers. Set up was very easy.

At work, we do a lot with irrigation systems in Montana, business gets really slow during the winter and we got this TV so we had something to watch during the slow times. It has a great picture and for $80 the price couldn't be beat. So now when the afternoons are dragging at least we have Hot Bench and Judge Judy.l

Cute little tv, easy setup. My only complaint is all the new TVs only have one hdm1 ports. I was able to hook up the Wii but had to buy an adapter to also plug in the fire stick. Perfect size for kids play room.

We really like just about everything. It's for our bedroom, and the size is really nice for that. The picture is very clear. The sound is strong and rich. My last tv had a hollow sound, but not this one! The legs are 21 and 1/4 inches apart, so it fits on our tv stand. I find them to be nice & sturdy. My only complaint, and its a small one, is that I would love to be able to increase the size of the closed captioning. That's very small. If there's a way to increase it, I haven't found it yet. But other than this one thing, it's perfect. And the price was just too amazing to pass up, so I'm very glad we got it! Also, someone complained of a smell---there's none at all on this one. And if anyone needs to know, there's about a 1 and 1/4in gap under the tv.

I bought 2 of these at different times. Probably about a month a part. The first one was a breeze to install onto the Rocketfish wall mount and easy to program. The colors and function on it are great. The volume is a little difficult. You have to hold down the volume button quite a bit to get a good change in the volume. I think they could make it change volume a little quicker and the speakers aren’t the greatest. I think they come out the bottom of the TV. Not as bad as the ones that come out the back but I still like them coming out the front. The second one was an open box (you’d think I would have learned my lesson on open boxes) but the rep said they go through every one to make sure everything is there. I got it all set up and mounted on the Rocket fish wall mount and plugged it in and went to turn it on and guess what was missing THE REMOTE. Problem with TV’s today is that you can’t do much of anything with them without a remote. I called the store and they said they would give me a universal remote but couldn’t get the remote specific to that TV. But since I had another one of these TV’s and this one was going to be hooked to comcast, I didn’t really need the remote except for setup. So I used the remote from my other matching set and got it all set up and then have used the comcast remote on it since. It’s got good color and saturation and brightness but the same speaker issue and odd volume that you have to go up 20 numbers to get a real change in the volume. I wouldn’t recommend the open boxes though. I don’t think they’re as good a deal as they seem. TV works well though. 4 stars because they didn’t include the remote in the open box model, otherwise I’d have given it a 5.

I picked this TV up to put in my workshop so I can watch local news or my Roku box while I'm working. It has a really good picture, and the sound quality is better than I thought it would be. Setup was easy right out of the box, as was assembling the TV and stand. The only thing that bothers me about this TV is that for some reason if we have a power outage (hey, it's spring time/early summer here in southern IL, we have a LOT of thunderstorms at this time of year), when the power comes back on, the TV turns itself on, even if you didn't have it turned on when the power went out. I'm not sure why this is, but we have had half a dozen outages in the last two weeks or so, and every single time this has happened. I'm working from home now, so this isn't an issue, although if I were to leave for an extended period of a few days, I would definitely want to unplug it just to make sure it didn't sit and run for a couple of days with no one home. Overall, I'm really pleased with this TV, I would most definitely buy it again, and have already recommended it to a couple of friends. It's WAY more TV than I thought I would be getting for the money.

I needed a small tv to fit on my desk to stream from. This one is perfect for a larger desk, and has all the inputs/output things to hook up my computer/gaming systems. The quality is nice, and its super light and easy to set up. Would recommend.

I bought this to use as a monitor for my iPad, chrome book, and samsung tablet. I connected chrome book via hdmi cable and Logitech usb receiver keyboard and mouse. I used a Chromecast or Apple TV (depending on whether I was using the IPad or Samsung tablet) in the other hdmi port with the power to the chromecast in the USB port on the tv. Keyboard and mouse to ipad and samsung tablet was a Logitech K375s which supports up to 3 different OS via Bluetooth. So, end result, I can easily have the convenience of the larger screen and keyboard / mouse on any of the 3 smaller devices. Since the iPad doesn’t support a mouse, I just keep it easily accessible for when I do have to use touch and otherwise use all the IOS keyboard shortcuts. Very convenient setup when all done. Also, I found the speakers to be very surprising. I play a lot of YouTube music and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the sound. Another little feature, the legs set just high enough up and far apart to allow my kleyboard to slide underneath giving me a clear desktop when not in use. I bought it on deal of the day for a great price so I couldn’t be more pleased. I have other Insignia tv’s and have been equally satisfied with them as well. Hope this helps!

Picked up this television a couple of weeks ago and found it easy to set up. Screen quality is actually quite decent for its size and the sound is acceptable. It's not home theater-quality, but better audio than a couple of televisions of similar size that I previously purchased. Biggest drawback is a not-overpowering, but noticeable smell of hot plastic coming from the top right portion of television (top left when looking at screen) when it is in use. Smell goes away when turned off. Solid buy at under $80 when on sale but had to subtract a star due to the plastic smell issue.

I have owned this 24" Insignia for a few weeks now, and I am very pleased with this purchase. The color is beautiful; sound is good; like the view angle, sleep timer, etc. and price was unbeatable! I always like to shop at Best Buy for electronics, and I'm very happy I chose them again to look at their TVs. I also have a 42" Insignia from Best Buy in another state, which I bought in 2012, and have never had an issue with it, which is one reason I have stayed with Insignia; a reliable, quality television for a great price. I highly recommend this 24" t.v.

This was a present for my mom. My siblings and I needed to find a small television that would fit on the dresser in her room. And we were surprised with this TV! The picture is great and the volume can get extremely loud. The remote is easy to use, comes with two HDMI inputs, and its lightweight. The only downside was the setup. I had a hard time screwing in the stands. Might have been because of the awkward angle that the screws go in. Overall, we like this TV.

Excellent TV with flaws

This is a short-term review since I've only had the TV a few weeks. This is an excellent TV for a small space like a kitchen or bedroom. It only weighs a few pounds which makes it very easy to tip over so anyone with pets or small children should consider that when choosing where to place the TV.
Setting it up is very easy. Screw in the legs, attach a signal source(antenna, cable) and you're good to go. The TV runs a scan for all available channels and allows you to make a list of favorites which can be modified at any time. If you intend to use an over the air antenna, be aware that this TV has a tendency to eliminate weak channels from the channel list and the only way to get it back is to run a channel scan all over again because the TV doesn't allow manual input of channels individually. This can be extremely annoying.
There are USB, HDMI and Audio/Video inputs for attaching a computer or other device, like a camera or gaming console.
The sound is nothing to write home about. It has very little richness to it. There are bass and treble adjustments which don't help much. For better sound there is a digital coaxial output allowing the sound to be fed through your home audio system. If one only has an analog system, the headphone jack can be used along with an adapter(not included) and RCA cables(also not included)
I found the picture to be excellent right out of the box. It's clear and bright with no ghosting. The picture alone makes this TV worth buying.
All in all this is a great bargain, despite its flaws.

We replaced our old "tube" TV with this 24" digital model and we both love it's size, picture and sound quality. We were a little "skeptical " at first because it wasn't a "name brand", but the salesman explained that this unit was the "Best Buy brand", built specifically for them, and many people really liked them. You can add our name to that list. For a small "inexpensive " TV, we are really happy with the ease of use of the controls and settings, and the picture and sound features are awesome! We don't really know how reliable they are, but for now we are really happy with our purchase!!
