Each time it won’t let us clear the error for a few days. By the time the repair guy shows up it has cleared the error. Other than that it works well. If you go with this unit just a warning that you might have that issue too. Oh and I bought it about 3 months ago, so it’s done it about once a month.

Same thing happened to an Insignia refrigerator recently as well. I will be staying away from Insignia going forward. Signed - very frustrated rental property owner.

Got the second washer with the same issue, returned that one for a refund.... don't waste your money. It's quiet but not worth the chance with a burning smell.

Worst dish”washer” I’ve ever owned.

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Dishes came out with a weird slimy film both times I used this, I tried less detergent, made sure the water was hot before starting, used the stronger setting, and made sure to set the dry function. Dry setting was so inadequate even the inside of the dishwasher itself was still wet so when I took the dishes out they had obvious water spots on them. You have to press the buttons (including start) while the door is open then you have 4 seconds to close the door to start the wash. I hated it. Exchanged for a Samsung and I am SO happy I did. Don’t recommend for anyone ever.

If your dishwasher is not fully drying your dishes:
• Make sure that you are using rinse aid.
• Make sure that the Heat Dry option is turned on. Hi Temp Wash and Sanitize Rinse also help make dishes dryer.
• Make sure that your dishes are loaded properly. Position your dishes so they do not shift or collect water during the cycle.
• Make sure that your dishwasher’s water temperature reaches at least 120° F (49° C). Turn on the hot water faucet near the dishwasher, and let it run for several minutes. Hold a thermometer (a candy or meat thermometer will work) in the water stream to check the temperature.
• The hardness of your water determines the amount of dishwashing detergent and rinse aid you need. The harder the water, the more detergent required. If glasses show streaks, turn up the dial on the rinse aid dispenser until the streaks disappear.
• A load with a lot of plastic items in the middle rack will negatively impact drying results. If possible, alternate plastic items with non-plastic items, like glasses. It is common for plastic items to require towel drying.
• If puddles are left on the tops of items, make sure that items with cupped tops have enough tilt to shed as much water as possible.
• Consider flash drying as an option. During the drying cycle, open the door two to three inches for two minutes to allow the steam to exit, then restart the cycle.
• If selecting Heavy Wash with Hi Temp Wash, Sanitize Rinse and Heat Dry with rinse aid does not produce satisfactory results, schedule a service appointment.

If a power outage happen, even with a backup generator it dies. Had to have the main board replaced. Had another brief power outage on Saturday morning, doesn't work again.

I purchased this machine and could not get power to it. Returned it and exchanged for same model this time I had best buy install it just to make sure it wasn't user error... Three weeks later I had to call my home warranty company because the pump motor is not draining the tub... And they aren't even sure how to order parts for the thing! So now I'll have MAYBE a three week old washer with a replacement motor???? remember when best buy used to be a great company? No more! Expensive lesson learned.

It doesn't dry it well and when I pull the dishes out it is still wet! If you like to do EXTRA work and dry the dishes with your dish towel this one would be for you!

The installers could never get it to run. They said the problem was my power source/outlet, but that was not the case. Returned it and the new (different brand) is working fine so far. Also, this one is a bit deeper than most. Measure the depth of your space to make sure it doesn't stick out.
