Q: How does the filter system in this dishwasher work?
A: The filter system separates dirty and clean water after the heated water is pumped through spray arms to clean your dishes. This allows for better performance with less water and energy use.
Q: What wash cycles can I choose from with this dishwasher?
A: You can choose between Auto, Normal, Heavy, Delicate, or Express wash cycles.
Q: Does the Insignia dishwasher have a drying feature?
A: Yes, it has a heat dry option that uses heat to dry dishes at the end of a cycle.
Q: Does this Insignia dishwasher have a sanitize option for dishes?
A: Yes, it has a sanitize rinse option that maintains a high water temperature (158° F/70° C) to sanitize your load.
Q: Where is the silverware basket located in this dishwasher?
A: The silverware basket can be placed in either the upper or lower rack for versatile loading options.
Q: Can I delay the start of the dishwasher?
A: Yes, you can delay the start of the dishwasher for 1 to 24 hours.
Q: What is the benefit of the smart wash system?
A: The smart wash system automatically selects the appropriate cycle based on how large and soiled your load is to efficiently clean your dishes.
A: To dry dishes, the dishwasher uses a very hot final rinse and then shuts off. As the sides cool, it pulls the moisture off the dishes, to the sides of the dishwasher, and into the drain. If your dishwasher is not fully drying your dishes: • Make sure that you are using rinse aid. • Make sure that the Heat Dry option is turned on. Hi Temp Wash and Sanitize Rinse also help make dishes dryer. • Make sure that your dishes are loaded properly. Position your dishes so they do not shift or collect water during the cycle. • Make sure that your dishwasher’s water temperature reaches at least 120° F (49° C). Turn on the hot water faucet near the dishwasher, and let it run for several minutes. Hold a thermometer (a candy or meat thermometer will work) in the water stream to check the temperature. • The hardness of your water determines the amount of dishwashing detergent and rinse aid you need. The harder the water, the more detergent required. If glasses show streaks, turn up the dial on the rinse aid dispenser until the streaks disappear. • A load with a lot of plastic items in the middle rack will negatively impact drying results. If possible, alternate plastic items with non-plastic items, like glasses. It is common for plastic items to require towel drying. • If puddles are left on the tops of items, make sure that items with cupped tops have enough tilt to shed as much water as possible. • Consider flash drying as an option. During the drying cycle, open the door two to three inches for two minutes to allow the steam to exit, then restart the cycle. • If selecting Heavy Wash with Hi Temp Wash, Sanitize Rinse and Heat Dry with rinse aid does not produce satisfactory results, please call 1-877-467-4289 available from 8am to 9pm CT daily.

Customers frequently mention the dishwasher's quiet operation and excellent cleaning performance as significant advantages. The third rack and reasonable price point also receive considerable praise. However, some customers have reported issues with the dishwasher's reliability and drainage system after a period of use. A few also noted concerns about the sturdiness of the door.

We had to replace a faithful 11 year old Miele and found this Insignia model to be perfect. Its design and cycles are nearly identical. Controls at the top of the door, except the display is clearer to see and easier to wipe clean. A third shelf for cutlery except it is more adjustable. Whisper quiet operation just like the Miele. Stainless steel inside and out, except the Insignia's exterior is a thinner gauge and thus more susceptible to denting. Dry dishes achievable with extra heat setting. Sanitizer cycle achievable with extra setting. Removable bottom rack cutlery basket for large loads too big for the top rack. Geek Squad installation was flawless and well worth the extra money. Total installed cost was one third of the Miele dishwasher 11 years ago. Let's see how pong the Insigna lasts us.

The look is clean and sleek. Matches all my other stainless appliances. It's super quiet. Really the best dishwasher I have used. It's very easy to use and with the top 3rd rack there is plenty of storage. I also really like that the buttons are hidden.

I really wanted the 3rd rack in a dishwasher, but didn't want to upgrade the cost. Consumer Reports gave this a good review, so I thought it would be worthwhile. I had Best Buy install and take my old dishwasher. They took care of everything. The dishwasher is very quiet, I can't always tell it is on, and I don't hear it at all in the next room. I don't like that I need to hold the Power button for 3 seconds before starting, then press the start button. I don't use the dry cycle at all...I put plastic in the bottom rack. If you leave the dishwasher shut and use the drying agent, I have been very happy with no spots and minimum puddles of water anywhere. I would say no puddles, but some of the deeper indents in glasses, etc do have a little water. The multiple beeps at the end of the cycle is annoying, but not really bothersome. I use the express cycle unless something is really heavy duty dirty. I have only had it a few months, and the loading of the dishes is different than any other dishwasher I have had. I use only the main part of the silverware holder (the 2 sides come off) and the stem holder for glasses can take up room, but I am getting the hang of loading. I really recommend this dishwasher...even though my mother swears by her premium brand 3 rack dishwasher. I am really happy with the Insignia brand in general.
