My wife and I needed a fast charger for our Iphones. We love this charger. Design/Build Quality - I like the small block, the cable is braided for protection, and it's cool to the touch when charging my phone. There's literally no heat on the charging block, impressive! The plug also folds in for travel. Specs - 25 Watt charger is perfect to fast charge our phones Performance - I can get to about 80% in 30 minutes and a full charge in a little less than an hour. -Pros- -Small -Easy to carry -6 ft of braided cable -25 Watts is perfect to fast charge your phone I can't think of any negatives at the moment. It's exactly what we needed. Save money and get this one!

I really like this charger combo. It is a great price for both. I like to take it on the go as it seems more portable. It does not overheat my phone and charges within 30 mins or less.

Totally worth the money. It cheap and it charge my iphone pretty quick. I thought the charger would get hot from the quick charging but surprisingly it doesn't, it continues to stay cool throughout. Im impress with the charger with how much it cost when compare to how much apple charge for it.

Many make the claim, but take 4 hours to charge a phone. This is my current go to, with a super fast connector charging my z flip6 from 0 to 100% in under an hour. FINALLY. Ill never buy another charger that doesnt say super fast on the box, but if theyre lying, ill bring it right on back.

It charges my cell phone super quickly, it is wild!

This works well with the Android Samsung GalaxyA15 5G phone. I've used it for almost 2 weeks. It charges quickly. It doesn't get real hot like the last one I tried. It's convenient that both pieces come together.

Cord is sturdy and has a convenient length, charge time is about equal to the performance of 1st party hardware if not better (for a pixel 8 at least.)

For those unaware, Insignia is Best Buy’s in-house brand name for many devices and accessories, ranging from USB cables all the way up to smart TVs and home appliances. Among their offerings are quite a few USB wall chargers and cables, such as this single-port, USB Type-C one with a folding plug for travel. In the box is both the power brick and a 6-foot, 60W-capable braided USB Type-C cable. This is key as the quality of a charge (and indeed, the ability for a device to recognize and safely draw on USB Power Delivery capabilities for rapid charging) is dependent on a cable capable of handling the sustained draw. Cheaper cables don’t have the wire gauge necessary to maintain this, and in many cases charging performance will be significantly degraded. Pairing a stronger cable with the charger is a good move as it ensures the cable can be used with most other devices without difficulty. The wall charger is slightly larger than a typical compact brick, but makes up for it with the folding plug, which is easy to flip open and closed and tucks away neatly in a backpack or handbag. Its charging performance is right in line with expectations, and perhaps even better than I suspected it might be for an inexpensive charger. The differentiator at this price point is the quality of the charger’s internal electronics, because lower quality chargers won’t output consistent, clean power and instead will deliver its rated output in “peaks,” causing most modern devices being charged to reduce their power draw demand until a safe, consistent level of charge can be reached. In my testing, all my devices were able to accept and draw the full 25W power from the brick using the included cable, resulting in very rapid recharges of my cell phone (a Motorola device with TurboPower) and a steady charge of my Nintendo Switch. I was also able to charge more powerful devices - my gaming laptop accepted the charge, albeit slowly compared to the factory 130W charger it came with as to be expected. No complaints here. All told, this Insignia 25W foldable wall charging kit does the job and does it very well indeed. It pays to spend a little extra for a safe, good quality charger, and if you’re in need of a USB type C cable anyway, the package deal is a solid value. I’ll be grabbing a couple extras of these in the near future. Recommended!

As you can see in my photos, the first element that attracts your attention is the nicely braided texture cable with its competently sealed plug ends. They leave an impression of long term durability that only time will bear out, but it feels great. And, the cord is long, a full 6ft. so a device plugged into the typical lower wall outlet can sit on a table top above. Thoughtful touch. It wasn’t until I popped open the spring loaded AC prongs, which are NON-polarized, and plugged it into my multipurpose outlets that I appreciated the charger’s size. It takes up very little space and allows most larger power bricks to sit adjacent to it without difficulty. Non-polarized plug prongs are both the same size, allowing you to insert the small brick in two orientations, both with small footprints, but one somewhat smaller than the other. The feature set, fold away, non-polarized prongs, small size are all thoughtful and contribute to a sensible travel companion. My recent devices, including earbuds, headphones, small Android Tablet, phone, security cameras and personal speaker all demand USB-C cables to recharge. I’m going to need this type of cable/charger combination everywhere I work. This Insignia product travels well, fits easily in all my carry cases, and most importantly, gives me confidence it will do the task. Recommended.

Out of the box the first thing you notice is the shockingly small footprint of the Insignia 25 watt usb-c wall charger. It measures approximately 1 1/4" (W) x 1 1/4" (L) x 1 1/2" (D). It has foldable prongs which make it easier in your pocket or case when traveling. These prongs also allow you to insert it into an outlet in either direction. Another advantage of the small size is that it allows you to plug another device into the adjoining outlet. The charger outputs 25 watts with Power Delivery (PD) and will work with 100-240 volts. It is designed to work with phones, tablets, smartwatch earphones and ear buds. Included in the box is a 6 foot 60 watt braided usb-c cable. Many other power adapters that include a cable, usually include one of standard quality. The insignia cable appears to be of the highest quality. In the box is also a quick user guide which lists Samsung and Apple devices that can be charged with this adapter. I have used this to charge my Pixel phone, Pixel tablet, Pixel watch and ear buds. In all cases, my devices charged fast and the adapter stayed cool during charging. Overall, I am very satisfied with the compact size, quick charge ability and high build quality of both the adapter and the cable. I would highly recommend this product.

I was preparing for a trip and needed a new compact phone charger, as my go to one was lost on the last trip. I always try to get one with Fast Charging for the inevitable case of forgetting to charge my phone overnight. I picked up the Insignia 25W Foldable Compact Wall Charging kit for USB-C because I’ve had good luck with Insignia products in the past and this kit had everything I needed in one box. Pros: - Compact Wall Charger. - Sturdy Cable. - 25W Fast Charging. Cons: - Charger gets hot while charging. Out of the Box: The Insignia 25W Foldable Charger is small when folded up, measuring 1.4in by 1.3in by 1.3 in. Even with the plug extended it only measures in at 2in in length. A perfect charger for traveling or on the go. The charger only has a USB-C plug, but luckily with this pack it includes a 6ft cable. I found this to be a great length as it was long enough to reach a wall plug while sitting in chair next to the wall, such is often the case at the airport or train station. The cable is rated up to 60W, which is good for most smaller devices but not for most laptops which need 65W, so this will not replace a laptop charger. The plug also feels solid, made from a hardy plastic that doesn’t flex with the surface being slightly textured which helps with gripping the plug. The cable is a high-quality braided cable that provides plenty of flexibility while being well protected and strong. I noticed at the end of the cables, at the joint of where the USB-C plug and cable join, is a rubberized plastic cover which aids inflexibility of the cable at the plug while protecting the connection from breaking. This was a nice addition, as I often have issues with cables wearing out right at this joint, so it is nice to see the added support here. Additionally, included on the cable is a rubber cable tie to help keep the cable nicely wrapped up while stored away. Performance: The charger and cable provide fast charging at 25W to my Samsung devices, charge time will vary but I was finding my S23 Plus charging from 10% to Full in a little over an hour. This is plenty for what I need as even just 30mins to 50% will get me by until I can charge again. The wall charger did get quite hot to the touch, but not enough that I was concerned. Just be aware when grabbing it after a charging. The included USB-C cable is a data transfer cable, which is great as then I only need to carry the one cable when I go to the office as I often have an issue with the provided video cables being broken. Though the Insignia cable will not fully support power delivery for most laptops it will be enough to connect for video display. Conclusion: If you’re a frequent traveler and in need of a compact, tough, Fast Charging USB-C wall charger, I would recommend the Insignia 25W Foldable Compact Wall Charging Kit. The Wall Charger is solidly built and the included cable is worth the price alone.

Quick Overview ================================= In this day and age, you can never have enough chargers for your stuff. Phones, tablets, smart watches, toys, cameras, remote controls, laptops, etc. As with everything USB-related, different standards have popped up from USB-A to USB-C including their charging protocols. Samsung (and others) has based their "Super Fast Charging" on USB PD (Power Delivery) Programmable Power Supply (PPS). Overall build ================================= It's pretty simple - hard, strong plastic with flip out prongs for the wall socket. One USB-C port. It's a great compact charger that could easily fit in your "go bag" and travel carry-on. Flip-out prongs are useful to keep the charger compact and snag-free, but if they're too weak, they can allow the charger to sag on the socket. That's not the case here. This is a firm set of prongs and the charger stays plugged into the wall firmly. The cable is a very nice 6ft long braided USB-C cable with a nice retaining strap to keep it looped up nicely. I have a TON of cables and this is one of the nicer silicone/rubber-style straps that actually works to stay closed around this firm braided cable even if it's coiled up pretty tightly. Performance ================================= Luckily the first two devices I wanted to test are recent Samsung devices that can take advantage of this Super Fast Charging. First up was a Samsung S23 Ultra which immediately showed Super Fast Charging on the display. I typically let this one sit on a wireless charging pad until I need it, but having the option for Super Fast Charging means I don't need to stay "topped off" since I can do it quickly anywhere there's an outlet. Next up is my giant Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. It also showed Super Fast Charging when connected and that's nice because even though it has a large battery to go with the large size, it actually uses quite a lot of power when doing intensive tasks. I don't use it all the time, but if I leave it for a few days, I can expect to see it very low or even dead. This Super Fast Charger would be a must-have partner to my tablet. Next, I tested this on a Google Pixel 8 Pro that also can take advantage of PPS. It displayed "rapidly charging" when connected which is good, but I can't tell how fast that actually is, since there are some reports online of 7.5w triggering the "rapidly charging" display state. Either way, if you have a Samsung or Apple device (there's a handy chart in the box) that can take advantage of 25w PPS, this will top anything off in just over an hour. Conclusion ================================= If you're traveling and want to travel light AND take advantage of Super Fast Charging, I'd definitely recommend this charger. It's small, compact, and comes with a great 60w-rated cable for Super Fast Charging your compatible devices.
