Stay Away from Insignia Mini Fridge

In less than 90 days the mini fridge died. Best Buy said I can send to the manufacture to trouble shoot it. If it cannot be fixed, then I will need to buy a new one. Ha Ha Ha...... not funny.

Only buy new, everyone. Plus, this thing has so much unpackaged styrofoam and was super messy to clean up.

Shipped me a used item

I got around to opening the box a month later and the leveling leg was completely bent off and their was a giant dent in the side. Now neither best buy (not returnable) nor insignia (best buy should accept a return) want to deal with it. They just tell me I should contact the other for support. So I would avoid buying any best buy brand products online since they don't stand by their products.

I’m for sure from the store the fridge is ok. I feel like the carrier is just throwing the fridge like they don’t care. Thats why I don’t like doing online shopping specially for electronics & appliance.

It came and she set it up but it has a funny odor and makes the food taste funny. I told her it might need to be cleaned same smell. She put a box of baking soda and still it smells bad. No matter what we do it still smells bad.

Freezer won’t freeze

The freezer will only freeze ice if you have the fridge turned up to the highest setting. Then your beer freezes in the fridge if you forget to turn the setting back down after your ice is frozen. I looked in the manual. That’s even what it says to do to make ice.

One day there will be ice against the back wall, then no ice some days latter. I use this as a classroom fridge for water, soda and lunch. I can't use it for salads because it may freeze them.
