Secret is to leave it upright 24 hours before plugging it in (it's in the instructions.)

Wouldn’t buy again.. everything gets freezer burnt no matter the temp! Ice builds up on the sides as well.

Has a noise I can’t describe, not loud but enough to notice, I thought about returning it but decided not to. So far it does its job although I kind of wish it was a bit bigger.

The freezer works great, small and fits in corner but it whistles. The sound is low but consistent. I am afraid that it will get louder over time

The product is awesome the store is worthless I won’t ever shop Best Buy again. They kick people out for medical conditions but then shut their phones off so u can’t get curbside shame on them

It is useful for its purpose which is as a freezer. I would've preferred if it had rollers enabling it to be moved much easier. a longer cord would be useful as well.

I highly recommend this freezer. It did not fit in my car’s (2018 Accord) trunk or back seat. I was able to hoist onto the car’s roof and tie it down (Best But policy prohibits employees from helping for insurance reasons). I followed the instruction manual and let the unit sit, upright, overnight. Plugging it in the next day I found it to be very quiet. Quiet to the extent that I thought it might not be running. The power light is a nice touch, as is the temperature adjustment knob. I wish it were frost free but, at this price point, cannot complain. The unit reached the desired temperature within a few hours. It has been running, filled to the top, for a few weeks now without any issues. It holds a lot of food and takes up little space. Making purchases before the recent inflated meat and chicken prices and purchase limits has already reaped financial benefits. Going forward, taking advantage of sales will, undoubtedly, have this freezer paying for itself in less than one year for my family of three. Insignia has built a fine product at a cost that makes it a no-brainer purchase.

We returned this item. It worked fine but getting items out was very difficult for this under 5-foot user.

It is a nice little freezer, however it is quite loud when it runs. I hear it no matter where I am in my home.

Bought this to store 1000oz + of breast milk.. I am freaked out to find out that the power went off.. I thought we are going to waste all of the breast milk, but the unit is still running. This is a good unit for someone that doesn't care if the light goes off less than 3 months after it was purchased.
