This thing sucks! and that's a good thing! I'm using this in a basement that is much larger than it's rated for and it works great.
As an example, about a week ago, my wife comes into the basement (where there is no HVAC) and makes the "it's musty" comment. I knew exactly what she meant, I could smell and feel it too. I turned this dehumidifier on and in a few hours, the whole basement felt better and smelt better. I use the automatic drain into a pump and it works great. I set it and forget it. I'm very impressed with this product

We have a very humid master bathroom and this dehumidifier helps humidity under 55. We run it 24 hrs and turns on when humidity goes over the desired setting and automatically turns off once it reaches it. This is our second dehumidifier and the first one is a bit smaller and broke within 2 years. This one seems sturdier and this one does the job better. Bathroom size is about 8 x 10.

I purchased this dehumidifier one month ago and it has exceeded all expectations. Basement is drier and I empty about twice a day.
I also purchased it as a "deal of the day" and wish I would have ordered a second one!

Was purchased to use in the cellar of my 110 year old house and it has definitely made a huge difference. Is easy to use and quiet enough that we don't hear it through original wood flooring.

Great dehumidifier! Perfect for our basement. I would recommend installing a hose to automatically dispose of the water, but not a deal breaker by any means. Easy to empty.

I purchased this unit to replace an old Kenmore Dehumidifier unit which was rated to remove 40 pints/per 24 hours of operation. The unit is primarily used during the summer months to remove excess humidity from my 1600 sq foot basement. My home has Central Air Conditioning which maintains the humidity on the first and second floors. The old Kenmore unit was not Energy Star rated and did not have a touch pad control panel with all the additional features that the Insignia unit offers. The Insignia unit has a very powerful yet quiet fan, which is capable of moving a large volume of air in the standard mode of operation. In addition the unit offers a Turbo mode to increase air flow and it also has a washable air filter. The units casters make moving and placement of the unit a snap. My only complaint is that I wish the electrical cord was a couple of feet longer and I find the removal of the water collection pan a bit difficult. If not for these minor issues I would have given the unit a 5 Star overall rating!
I purchased the unit when it was offered as a Deal of the Day Special, worth every penny!

Works well and have noticed a difference in the moister in the house. This is quieter than my 70 pint dehumidifier. I got this on a daily deal and was well worth the money compared to other units.

Had it about a month. Way quieter and user friendly than last one. Lots of options; I just set on comfort and leave in finished basement. Def buy again. Didn't hurt saving 80 on Deal of the Day.

I bought this for my mom who has COPD because of the extreme humidity in the air and especially in the house. It was amazing. My mom keeps asking me how in the world that there could be that much water in the air. She has to empty it at least twice a day and sometimes three times if it’s really humid. It has really brought the humidity down so she can breathe better and that’s worth every penny.
