Got this on sale and never saw a portable unit so inexpensive. It gets cool, but needs to run pretty much constantly to keep my bedroom cool.

Great portable unit from Best Buy's Insignia brand! You don't need to uplevel to a known brand as this one does the job just fine. It is a little noisy though but nothing that we were bothered by.

Bought this for the summer heat. Cooled my whole room. Easy and convenient to install. Serves the purpose and I. am very satisfied.

Cools off a large room without an issue. A little louder than a small window unit but not as bad as some reviews suggested.

It can be a bit load, but it cools very well and the noise it makes does not bother my falling asleep so I good with it.

The unit itself is good with remote that is convenient. The unit was too big for the space I had to place it too reach window to exhaust. My fault not the unit.

Overall a great machine ..only draw back is when it's on it don't display the temp in room just the set temp .. It does indicate the temp in room when it's off .. But it works great for a small room

Would work better if I had a different type of window, I think. I have to extend the hose and it emits a lot of heat. All in all, it does a decent cooling job.

Cools well. The only reason I dropped a star is because the exhaust system didn't fit our window very well. I had to fill in some gaps to keep external air from leaking in through the window.

Excellent choice to cool a small area like a 1 car garage or a regular room in case of AC problems.

This thing has been a lifesaver since we have no central air. In about 30 minutes or so on a hot day, my room will be much cooler. Since I'm working from home, this makes a huge different. Invest in this unit if you need to cool down your room. I use it at night as well with the timer, and it's excellent to keep me in Sleepytown throughout the night.

This portable air conditioner was awesome for about 3 years. Unfortunately it’s having issues now and will be returned to the store this weekend. I will buy another Insignia portable air conditioner if one is available. Always buy the service plans! Because you never know when you buy something and it is going to stay alive for the long term!

Great for a small room , easy to install and use . Only drawback is it’s louder then I anticipated it would but if noise is no problem it’s great !

It works very well for small rooms, it cools very well, I do not recommend it much in bedrooms because the internal compressor makes a lot of noise

Cools room effectively. A liile noisy, but the noise actually helps me sleep. The noise is from the air blowing out, not mechanical. Great price

It cools as described...BUT.....its very loud abd never shuts off.

This AC unit works good in a bedroom that was added on but doesn't get good airflow from the central AC. Cools nice, like the timer function, pretty straight forward. The window exhaust is a little cheap and doesn't seal real well since there are differences in height between the inner and outer sleeve of the expandable part that inserts under the window. And you need the unit to be somewhat close to the window. Other than that, pretty good. Caught it on a deal of the day, and probably would not buy without some discount.
