Good value TV for a spare Bedroom or kids room. Its 720p so dont expect brilliant picture quality, but its display is good for the type of TV it is. Speakers are clear and fine for a small room. easy setup, smart features are simple and take little time to configure. If you are use to the Fire Interface with FireTV, stick or cube, this TV is no different. Remote is simple but has all required features.

Only reason why I gave this four stars is because the volume isn’t as loud as I would like it to be it seems like you gotta turn the TV up to 40+ just be able to hear it good but other than that it’s a great TV for the price crystal clear picture and lots of options for apps so all around a good TV

Good Tv even has HD not full or ultra by hd. Surprisingly it even has direct light which means the picture is better than decent in any room. It does not say HD on the box so it is scary until you are able to verify HD standard in the literature provided. You may be able to verify in the about settings or keep digging. Even check serial number. Overall for the price it's a good tv. I was looking for a 43 inch Roku TV for real cheap to upgrade my son's 32 inch TCL he has had for 5 years. The sound on Roku TV's be it older models or real cheap off brands have terrible sound nothing that a sound bar won't fix but TCL in general have longevity. They last really long so I was willing to once again sacrifice sound. Now let me say if you get a cheap cheap brand of a Roku tv like Onn Wally brand even hooking up a sound bar especially an inexpensive one will just make a cheap Roku tv sound like a loud mess. So this Insignia a Best Buy brand but still wins out over and Onn Roku brand with terrible sound and led edge lighting not direct light like this Insignia has led, hd, direct light 39 inch with fire inside.
I bought a Roku Premier to go along since my son is addicted to Roku from Amazon for $18 after discounts. It is hd / 4k etc. Overall A few inches sacrificed from a 43 inch but better sound and I think better quality. I will upgrade him again in a couple of years to a 55' for his patience if I go have no problems with this little fella of a TV.

The TV is pretty great. The picture is nice and it pretty much has an amazon fire stick/navigation built in.
The sound is impressive for a TV that is so thin.
While I LOVE that the remote is the same as an amazon remote, it really stinks that you need open it, remove/replace the battery each time before the remote works. This is very annoying.

I would give it a 4.5. Setup was easy, picture quality is very good.
The only slight negative is the remote but it's not Insignia's fault...they went with the Firestick type of remote which doesn't have a number pad. But, the Alexa voice feature is nice. Haven't used it to it's full potential but for those few times I have, it's been very responsive.

The first one we received was damaged and had a smashed screen from delivery (made for a very disappointing Christmas morning for our 8 year old) but we took it up to our nearest Best Buy (24 miles away) and they surprisingly (based on the comments online that said they don’t accept broken TVs returned from transport/delivery) told us to go pick out a new one. The geek squad insurance was kinda weird because they had to refund what I paid for already and then I had to pay for it again and I got a separate charge on my card for $9.99 that didn’t even match the insurance. I don’t know it was weird.
But... as far as the TV we love it!!
We have this same brand fire tv but bigger in our bedroom and got this one for our sons room. We had a google smarthome but switched to Alexa just so we could control our TVs lol. When I make an announcement through Alexa it actually announces and shows up as text on the fire TVs. Love it!!
Picture quality is just great, we never have any issues with connection. It’s pretty fast and it’s just way smarter to pay for a Netflix (and Hulu if you want) subscription each month than pay for cable or satellite that always freezes and has crappy movies and messes up during storms and is stupid expensive. The fire tv twelfth has free streaming apps and imbD which has free movies with occasional ads!
Bottom line, we’re doing our whole house with these tv’s.

We wanted to put a smart TV in the gym so we could use Youtube for workout videos and watch some TV while on the treadmill. The Black Friday sale on this tv was $99 so we couldn’t pass it up. If you’re looking for a visually stunning picture with all the features, then you might want to look at another TV, but for $99 it’s a fantastic TV. It does what we need it to do, the picture is clean and it offers tons of apps. The one drawback that is my fault for not doing my research is that if you have Comcast/Xfinity, you will not be able to use the app and get rid of your box. I tried to download the Xfinity app only to find out that Fire TVs don’t offer it. If you are an Xfinity/Comcast customer, and want to lose the box and just use the app, you’re only going to be able to get it on Roku, Samsung, and some LG TVs. I have 6 TVs in this house and only one Comcast box in the living room for the DVR feature. The little boxes are about $6 a month so the app is saving me about $30 a month. We were able to just download the apps of a couple channels we watch, but the X app is all the channels in one place (I know, champagne problems for sure). So, if you don’t need/care about 4K or 1080P, not worried about the Xfinity app, and you’re looking for a good base model smart TV without all the bells and whistles, this Tv fits the bill perfectly. Just wait for a sale to pop up.

So far this is great bang for the buck. Got it for my son. He loves it and the set up was extremely easy. I always buy from Best Buy because they have the best and easiest warranty. Best Buy over Amazon any day. I would recommend this TV. Clean, easy, affordable and quality picture. Hopefully it stays this way for years to

This was an excellent purchase. The price was great, the quality of the picture is very good, and setup was extremely easy.

Purchased as temporary stand-in whilst 55" Insignia Geek Squad extended warranty replacement is shipped/received at home. We are an Insignia line TV family. Good picture (for this ain't the usual 4K UHD I'm used to), adequate sound, great price-point, familiar Fire TV features, all make for a satisfied customer, indeed.

Great TV for the price. I had a little trouble setting up the TV at the beginning but the technical help line got me started. I still have trouble turning on and shutting off the TV. That is why my rating is only 4 stars. The picture quality is great and once the TV is on, it works great. I manually turn on and off the TV.

I've had the Insignia-39" for less than a week and so far the quality of picture, sound and ease of operation exceeds my expectations. I'm very satisfied with the product and especially its cost. Since I'm a Total Tech user, installation was seem-less, efficient and quickly accomplished.
