Customers are saying
Customers are impressed with the 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub's ease of use, the number of USB ports it provides, and its compact size. Many appreciate its performance and compatibility with various devices, along with its reasonable price. However, some customers wish the cord was longer and mention occasional connection issues. A few also noted that the lightweight design can make it prone to tipping over.

Average but, does its purpose
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I run a pro recording studio and I bought this with the intent to be the bellwether and powerhouse for my rig of macbook, maschine, mid keyboard and hard drives. It failed epically loose usb wire, and not enough juice or either data able to pass through to power them all. So I had to go with 3.0 speed problem solved. Used with basic stuff though it's spot on.

Perfect to add ports to an M1 Mac mini
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had 1 free USB-3 port on my Mac mini with a male/female USB cable plugged into it. I could use that to connect the scanner, another disk, etc. That wasn't the most convenient. This comes with a power supply, and if you use it (it can run off the bus power, but won't provide power to all the ports) each of the ports can provide power to the attached peripheral. I can have my scanner permanently plugged in. I've tested with the scanner powered up and my 11 in. iPad Pro and the iPad is charging (probably slowly, but it's getting power). I've also run the scanner while charging the Magic Keyboard and Magic Trackpad. I used a couple velcro pads to stick it to my desk. Works great to have 4 USB-A (USB-3) ports facing forward for easy access. Great addition to my Mac mini.

Decent Affordable Option
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you need additional USB ports and are on a budget, this is a decent option. I purchased this for my parents, who were fast running out of ports on their computer and would have struggled with constantly swapping out components. It was relatively simple to set up and does the job. The one complaint I have is with the length of both the power cord and the cable connecting the device to the computer. Both are rather short and on my parents' setup, that severely limited where I could place it. The fact that this is an extremely light device also meant that with all of the cables connected to it pulled to their maximum extension, it was all but impossible to keep it flush to the desk instead of lifted at an angle on one side. This might not be an issue for some people, but it's worth considering before buying.

Solid choice for a regular non-powered USB 3.0 hub
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price, this little hub has been very convenient and a welcome addition to my desktop set-up. Although I think I will be needing to upgrade to a powered USB hub in the near future, I'm sure I will still find use for this one. It's convenient, never drops connection, and provides the 3.0 power it was built to. I secured it to the side of my desk with a sort of double-sided tape-like setup. That is my one complaint; without anything anchoring it down it is extremely easy to knock around, but that's just a given and has many easy solutions. I feel I've definitely gotten my money's worth out of this hub.

Must have
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using this USB hub for over a year now and it has been working as it should be since day one. most of the gaming gear nowadays require USB 3.0 and this hub fulfills that need without any glitches. Small and compact, has its own power supply. The modern-day motherboard does not have enough USB 3.0, so this is a must-have.

4 port 3.1 USB with external power supply
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great 4 port hub with external power wall plug. This way a hub works way more efficiently if it is not having to back draw it's power from your computer. 4 things plugged in and all work great at the same time. Very lightweight so best to put some double stick tape on bottom and secure it to a handy place. Great price....

Excellent accessory to increase capacity
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Product works great and is very effective to expand my available USB ports to accommodate all of th devices I use without having to make a choice switch out accessories (Skype phone, iPad and iPhone chargers, Bluetooth mouse, external drives) that exceed capacity of the ports on the laptop. 1 plug to work with when I am ready to pick up and go ... and price was great too. This has its own power supply and does not draw on laptop power.

Great Hub for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great hub for how much it costs. It's plug and play, there's no need for additional configuration or any additional hassles. The only downside is that if you connect 2 or more cables to it, it's necessary to plug the power so all devices can be recognized. Fortunately, it comes with it's own power supply.

Just what I needed
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought a nice little HP all-in-one for use in my shop, but it had one drawback -- limited number of USB ports, and they were all on the back of the machine. I like to transfer files using USB sticks, and it was just too much trouble fishing for the port in the back to plug them in. This thing fills the bill -- uses one port on the back of the machine to provide me with four ports up front -- and these are powered ports (unit includes plug-in power supply) so the ports can be used to charge my phone, pad, or other USP plug in devices.

Even better than expected
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My laptop is lacking in USB ports, but my life involved multiple devices that need to be charged. The previous hub I had was adequate, but could not charge my phone. This Insignia USB hub has a designated USB 3.0 port which charges my phone, with 3 spare ports! The hub comes with an adapter to plug into an outlet, which is more useful than I expected: because I use my hub mainly for charging, I don't need to use one of my precious laptop ports to charge everything! I highly suggest this USB hub to anyone who is cord-dependent like I am, it is the best price/value I have found for hubs with USB 3.0 ports!

Powered hub provides the stability I need
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The hub gives consistent performance and the power provides stability. My iMac didn't have quite enough USB ports and this provided the expansion I required.

Essential for a laptop
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My laptop has 3 USB 3.0 ports which I quickly filled since I am using a wireless mouse instead of the touch pad and also have a 1TB external drive and an outboard network adapter. I wanted the ability to use all at once but ran into a problem with the network adapter which overlapped an adjacent port. Plus I was uncomfortable with the load being placed on the ports so I went looking for a self powered USB hub. This one fit the bill nicely. The only thing I don't like about it is the power stays on when the laptop is off; however, what else can one expect considering the price. Incidentally the hub will work unpowered. I found that out by accident when I forgot to plug the adapter in.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This item works great, it is small and does take up much room in my desk. Insignia 3.0 Superspeed
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this thing!!! My laptop only came with 2 USB ports and this extension as a gift as no longer have to change everything out all the time! And runs just as fast as if my components was plugged directly into my laptop!!! However, my 1st USB Insignia extension only lasted 5 years before the Micro-USB part broke, but honestly nothing lasts for ever & this one is even better so must likely time for a new one...
