Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub's ease of use, the number of USB ports it provides, and its compact size. Many appreciate its performance and compatibility with various devices, along with its reasonable price. However, some customers wish the cord was longer and mention occasional connection issues. A few also noted that the lightweight design can make it prone to tipping over.

No issues to report. The ports are very easy to access, and because it so tiny it can be placed anywhere on my desk. Great price point. I highly recommend this item.

This was purchased to extend the number of 3.0 USB ports on my tiny laptop. The compact size makes it perfect to travel with. It works flawlessly. I am happy with product.

Good for Desk Mounted USB Hub

Pros: You can charge a phone on it. Its 5V, 3.6 amps per port. So you can fast charge multiple devices on it. Most cell phones require 5V, 2amps to fast charge. It also will adjust the power to older devices that aren't fast charging cable. Great for desk setups that want a USB hub to be under desk mounted. Cons: Very light weight and it the USB cable is 3 feet long. So if you do use it for a desk setup, you'll need a USB cable extender. If you plan on just having it free stand on a desk it will slide around. I recommend using command strips to hold it in place.

Enabled attaching both of my portable drives

The highest praise I can give a USB hub is that it works exactly as expected. I was able to connect both of my USB-3 portable drives to my laptop (which has a single USB-3 port) and access their content. Even when my cat accidentally pulled the hub's power cord out, one drive stayed connected and functioning (both drives at once were too large a drain with the hub unpowered, but once the cord was reattached, both were back up and running). It works and is small enough to keep in my laptop bag. What else can one ask of a hub?

Haven't had this guy for long (maybe a month) but it does exactly what I need it to do... give me addition USB ports. I have a surface pro set up with a great monitor and have a wireless USB mouse and keyboard.... the surface only has 1 USB port, so this lets me have both the keyboard and the mouse to be hooked up (I use a different cable, HDMI for the monitor) I use the remaining ports to power cell phones and tablets. Love that this hub has an electrical plug too, so I can still charge devices when the surface is asleep. I don't use it to transfer data.... so I can't speak to that aspect.

It's a USB hub, so it's pretty simple. You wouldn't expect any issues. The power cord it comes with has enough length to meet the needs of most. The USB cable is slightly short, but this is easily remedied if you have an extension laying around, Other than that, all 4 ports being on the front is nice. The compact design makes it easy to put just about anywhere, and the fact that it's 3.0 on all 4 ports means no switching things around. Decent price, too.

I bought this USB Hub to work with my laptop while I was working from home due to COVID-19. I needed something that I wasn't having to continually hook/unhook USB/Headphones/Wireless keyboard adapter. I picked this up (thanks painless curbside delivery), plugged it in, and it worked exactly as planned. I can have the keyboard adapter, two jumpdrives, and my phone charger all hooked up without having to swtich anything out. Great price and great product.

After installing an Insignia PCIe USB 3.0 card with two ports into my main desktop computer as an upgrade, I found that more ports were needed. I was using another brand of hub, but at the point when that hub bit the dust, I started looking for a replacement. This one came up as an open box item, and since the PCIe card already installed was Insignia brand, I figured this should be compatible. So far it's worked very well with a variety of USB thumb drives and various external HD's, even when mixing 2.0 and 3.0 devices.

So I bought this after upgrading my system chassis and it being too tall to fit under my desk without blocking access to the USB ports. I mounted this to my desk with self-adhesive Velcro. The power supply also has a small footprint, and it is nice to have a self powered unit for connecting hard drives. All the ports work perfectly, and everything seems to be recognized when attached through this port. Does not seem to get hot.

Works great for what I got it for. I was worried that I'd have to plug it into power but just plugging it into the rear USB port on the switch is enough power for 4 of the PowerA - Wired Controller for Nintendo Switch. I was also able to plug it into a Shield TV with those controllers attached and can stream games from my computer to the TV and play with these controllers.

I needed more USB ports so I bought this from Best Buy. It did exactly what I wanted it to do. Quick set up and very good speed. It's sturdy and compact with 4 USB ports. The good thing is it doesn't take away from the USB ports on my Laptop. Just one to plug it in and it runs great.

I needed extra ports for my 2-in-1. This fills that role nicely. Good speed; I can even use it to connect a wireless mouse without the mouse lagging. Small, so it's easily tucked out of the way. The only problem I have is the power cable. It doesn't connect securely, and any little jostle to the hub makes it fall out. If the hub is immobilized (I used a Command strip), then there's no issue, but this seems counterproductive for a laptop where the main feature is mobility.

I found the Insignia USB Hub very helpful. Rather than having to go under my desk than behind my PC each time I needed to plug in additional devices that use the USB Ports, and than having to disconnect it if I needed to plug in other devices. Now the USB Hub sits on my desk besides my monitor and I am able to plug in my cellphone, USB flash drive, webcam, and external hard drive all in one place. So it's definitely useful and everything still works at the same pace even when they are all connected to the USB Hub.

    Fine USB Hub

This four-position USB hub does exactly the job for which it is intended. It is simple plug-and play. I've been using it for several weeks now and there have no incidents with it. One thought: might consider supplying a Velcro strip or some other means of attaching it to a surface. As all such hubs, it is light and the wires pull on it, so it would be good to fasten it down. This is a minor issue, though.
