Works but I worry about its durability

I have had issues with plugging an ethernet to usb connector into this connector; it doesn't seem to work I will look into this further. The reason why I have a durability issue is that the hub is made of very lightweight plastic. This is good for transport but worries me that it is prone to damage. Feels cheap. But as I said it is working.
