MANY people need a extra port for their computer, but there's an issue you have, like me. The USB ports are in the back of the computer and all are being used. If this is you, a lot of gaming and power or custom computers have 2 to 4 USB ports in the back of the computer. if you need extra ports this may be what you want or get a card with 4 USB ports, if your computer has the room for one. So far, for me, I've had no issues with the one I got & it makes it easy to connect the video or camera port into one of these USB ports, instead of fighting with moving the computer and hooking it to the back. If you ever need extra ports, this is a good choice to get or a card. But before you do, ask one of the Geeks. They don't get paid commission so they have no reason to lie to you.

I only have two USB 2.0/3.0 ports on my new laptop (plus a USB Type C, which I don't use at all). I already have an Insignia 4 port hub, but I deliberately looked for a "powered" USB hub so the strain on the laptop wasn't that bad. This has performed well with no dropped signals and consistently transfers files from my two external hard drives (USB 3.0) at a rate above 50 Mbs. Normally in the 100 Mbs range, but occasionally drops around 50, versus my one USB 2.0 which only transfers in the 5-10 Mbs range. When you're transferring 8Gb and up files, that's a huge time saver.

Love this product. I’m working from home and needed some extra ports to connect an ergonomic keyboard and headset to my laptop so it’s been very functional.

I recently purchased an HP Laptop and it only had one USB port. The external USB Hub is essential to add multi-port capability. It was easy to hook-up and use.

Needed easily accessible USB3,9 ports on front of PC. This worked perfectly. Looks great and is easy to reach. Pricing was competitive. Brand was one I knew for quality. I'll probably buy another couple for other PCs

Does exactly what it says and has fast charging. A great item for the desktop and is nice and small.

Very easy to use. Provides enough power to run devices such as my external hard drives. My previous hub wasn't powered and the external hard drives wouldn't work.

This powered USB hub works very well. It is small enough to sit out of the way, but large enough to hold it's own on the desktop when everything is plugged into it. It does not hurt USB speed and is fast.

This item utilizes the needs of a USB 3.0 hub. Picks up fine on Windows 7 pro and Windows 10 pro. Have used this hub style and company for years and rarely have issues with the product, even years after purchases

I have a computer that does Not have enough ports. Increasing the number of USB ports is extremely important. The insignia 4 port USB hub does just that. It's compact and fits almost anywhere.

I bought this for my second laptop. There are NEVER ENOUGH USB ports as far as I'm concerned. This hub is perfect for my needs; and frees up 2 of the 3 internal USB ports. on the laptop.

I’ve been using this for my MacBook for a while now and it’s pretty great - I picked up one both for home and work. The hub comes with a USB micro-B to USB-A cable, which can be changed to a micro-B to C if you find a good cable on Amazon. I’d say the only con is that while it can charge your devices, it does so very slowly. That said, it will charge whether the hub is connected to a computer or not, as long as it’s plugged into a wall socket. I’ve been able to charge an iPhone, iPad, Logitech mouse, and other peripherals without issue.

I had originally purchased a 3.0 model and had problems with it connecting to my lap top.. I replaced it with a 2.0 and that was the ticket. It works perfectly now. I use it for my two external hard drives and printer.

Really great way to add USB ports to your computer. Sales person suggested this model because it has a separate power supply and will not bog down your computers power supply
