Excellent product and exactly what I needed. My gaming laptop only has two USB ports and I have four to plug in. This hub made it easy to connect more with no noticed speed decrease yet. It powers my RGB keyboard without being plugged into the DC cord, only my laptop. All four ports are powered and work perfectly. It's also slim, not ugly, and hasn't heated up at all. Good choice if you need a hub, especially a powered one for a great price.

I run a digital audio workstation on one of my systems. Ableton software is resource heavy, and I run a variety of external gear (audio interface, Ableton controller, Akai drum machine, external SSD) through my usb ports. Each device is class compliant usb bus powered, but running all at once was affecting performance overall. When I plugged this in to my left-side usb port, I immediately added additional ports. Since the dock is powered, it eliminated the power draw on my front side ports eliminating my performance issues. Usually, the tradeoff for adding a port adaptor is more latency, which is the opposite of what one wants when running audio gear. This one gives me realtime responsiveness, and I paid practically nothing out of pocket via Best Buys deals and the member award I cashed in. Definitely a smart purchase as similar devices can cost four or five times as much and provide similar or worse performance.

Great powered Hub that works nicely on older computers. I have 3 older iMacs and I use two of them a lot. I bought a powered hub at W-M, and it is junk compared to this one. Insignia wins hands down over the cheaper Wallie World version. I am probably going to buy a second one at some point in time.

Works great, devices (keyboard, LED strip, monitor) start up without a hiccup and worked in BIOS as well so it passed with an extra gold star from me. LED strip never turns off or flickers either so power is never interrupted A++

Fantastic product. I had a 4 switch 2.0 hub but it went out. The 3.0 is so much faster and easy to assemble. I like the fact that it's significantly slimmer and minimalistic, bairly taking up any space on my desk.

I purchased this Insignia™ - 4-Port USB 3.0 Powered Hub - Metallic Gray for a new P.C. that had only two USB ports in the front of the case. I ran the supplied USB cable to the back of my P.C. plugged it in, and without using the supplied power supply, I found it worked great! When I know I'm going to draw too much electricity for one USB port to handle, I simply power the Insignia™ - 4-Port USB 3.0 Powered Hub up thru my surge bar I have the 4-Port USB port power supply plugged into. My personal opinion is that it is well built and should work for many years. I recommend the Insignia™ - 4-Port USB 3.0 Powered Hub. It's a good value for the money and works great for all your USB hub needs!

I needed a remote, powered USB hub to mount on the dashboard of my driving simulator rig. The Insignia 4 port hub fit the bill perfectly. I have used several Insignia products in the past and always had good luck with their quality and durability. The little unit is extremely light which actually helped me, as I wanted to mount it on a velcro pad. Once connected to the power supply, I was up and running perfectly. A nice addition to my setup at a reasonable price point.

This USB hub is priced right and it fits in with almost any decor. I love having the ability to power it apart from the computer doing the heavy lifting.

Needed it to run a mouse, audio interface, and midi keyboard from one usb, without lag. So far so good, haven’t had an issues.

So far no issues, you just have to make sure you get the cable pushed all the way in. I wanted a powered hub that was small and would power my external hard drives and this one does the job.

Great and easy plug and Play solution to add more USB 3.0 ports to computer or laptop without draining power from the computer since it's AC powered would be nice to have some sort of mounting tape or Velcro included.

I bought this usb hub a couple of weeks ago because i needed more ports. After buying this usb hub it has been perfect the only thing i do not like about it is how big the power adapter is i kinda think they should've went for a smaller power adapter but thats about the only con i have about it. I definitely rate this a 5/5 so if you need a cheap usb hub definitely go for this one.

Compact and works exactly as described, supplied data cable is decent quality.

Has good compatibility with Linux and handles multiboot drives as well with no loss of data and no noticeable loss of transfer speed.

I love this guy! Hooks up to all my devices and PCs. Haven't had one problem yet. All plug and play!

Have no complaints with this little guy! Used it in a few different scenarios including data exchange, peripheral connections, etc. Ultimately chose to mount it in one of my drawers thanks to its small form factor to supply charging power to some of my gaming mice. Works like a charm and haven't had any issues with it!

It's working perfectly. I installed it in the Pc and connected 4 import and working fast.

at first I used this to connect items to my pc while working. I no longer have a need for it since I purchased my docking station. I now use this as a charging station for my devices.
