This tv has already started making noises and blacking out. I am beyond my 14 days to return. It has been happening since 9/15. I’ve only had this for a little over a month.

I’ve been genuinely impressed with this Insignia 40" Fire TV. Setup was incredibly easy — plugged it in, signed into Amazon, and I was watching within minutes. The Fire TV interface is smooth, intuitive, and makes switching between apps like Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, and Hulu effortless.
Picture quality is sharp and clear for a 1080p TV. Colors look vibrant, text is crisp, and it performs great for movies, shows, sports, and even casual gaming. The screen size is perfect for a bedroom, apartment, or office without overwhelming the space.
What really stands out is the value. You’re getting a solid smart TV with built-in Fire TV, Alexa voice control, and reliable performance at a very reasonable price. The remote is simple, responsive, and the voice search actually works well.
If you’re looking for a dependable, no-frills smart TV that delivers quality where it counts, this is a great choice. I’d absolutely recommend it and would buy it again.

The Insignia TV is a solid budget-friendly option that delivers more value than you’d expect for the price. The picture quality is decent—colors are reasonably accurate, brightness is fair in normal lighting, and 4K content looks sharp enough for casual watching. It’s not on the same level as premium brands, but for everyday streaming and cable TV, it gets the job done without issues.
The built-in Fire TV interface is one of its biggest strengths. It’s fast, easy to navigate, and gives you access to all major apps without needing an external streaming device. Alexa voice control works smoothly for opening apps, searching shows, and adjusting volume. Setup is simple, and the remote is user-friendly.
Sound is acceptable but not impressive. Dialogue clarity is fine, but bass is weak—adding a soundbar makes a big difference. Gaming performance is okay for casual gaming but not ideal for fast-paced titles since the refresh rate and response time are basic.
Build quality matches the budget price: lightweight, simple, nothing premium, but nothing fragile. For someone who wants an affordable smart TV for a bedroom, apartment, or secondary space, Insignia is a dependable choice. If you need top-tier picture quality for movies or gaming, you may want to look at higher-end models.

I absolutely love my new 42-inch Insignia Fire TV! The setup was quick and easy, and the picture quality is crisp and clear for all my favorite shows and movies. The built-in Fire TV makes streaming effortless, and I can access everything I need in one place without extra devices. The Alexa voice remote is super convenient—just press a button and tell it what you want to watch. The sound is surprisingly good for a TV in this price range, and the size is perfect for my space. Lightweight, easy to mount, and packed with smart features, this TV is truly an amazing value. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase!

I purchased this Flatscreen for my Mom who watches TV in her small bedroom. it was easy to setup right out of the box and did not need to much room, It was slim and lightweight. The picture quality was surprisingly great! The remote was simple to use. The sound was just right. I would recommend this flatscreen for anyone looking for a 40” flatscreen at a great price and of good quality, you won’t be disappointed. My Mom loved it just as much as I did.

I’m really happy with this TV. The picture quality is sharp and clear for a 1080p screen, and the colors look great for a 40-inch TV. Setup was super easy, especially with Fire TV already built in. I was streaming Netflix and Prime Video within minutes.
The sound is better than I expected for a TV this size, though I paired it with a soundbar for movies. The remote is simple to use, and Alexa voice control is a nice bonus.
For the price, this TV is a great value. Perfect for a bedroom, living room, or gaming setup. Definitely recommend if you want a reliable smart TV without spending a lot.
If you want, I can make it shorter, more casual, or more critical so it sounds extra real

I love my TV. I have four of them. One not smart, I use with a stick. It's great. It was given to me about 8 years ago. That started it all. I bout one for Mom for her birthday three years ago. She loves and enjoys with the family. I replaced my Samsung 40 inch one almost two years ago. Now I needed a replacement for my dressing room. This TV was the perfect fit Sleek, easy to setup, the sound is awesome and I always get a beautiful picture. I can locate anything in a snap by just using the voice on the remote.

Tv has been a great value. Picture quality is good, features are excellent for the price. My only complaint is the volume seems very arbitrary, set it at a comfortable level on TV, turn it off and back on and the volume will still be set on tv exact same number but it will often be incredibly loud or barely audible.

I recently picked up this Insignia 40″ Full HD Smart Fire TV and I’m really impressed for the price. The 1080p resolution delivers crisp images and vibrant color, especially in my living room setup, and the Fire TV interface is smooth, easy to use, and loaded with streaming apps. Setup was quick and the included Alexa Voice Remote made controlling everything a breeze. At this size and price point, it’s exceptional value. The only caveat is that it’s not 4K, so if you’re looking for premium ultra-high-definition, that may be a limitation — but for everyday viewing, streaming, and casually gaming, it performs excellently. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a smart TV for a budget without sacrificing functionality.

I picked this up on Black Friday and it was absolutely worth the price. The picture quality is very good for a 1080p TV, setup was quick and easy, and the Fire TV interface works smoothly. I’ve been very impressed with Insignia TVs overall—I now own six of them in various sizes throughout my home, and every one has been reliable and performs great. For the value, quality, and ease of use, you really can’t go wrong with this TV.

The tv is easy to set up. It connected to the internet quickly and was able to download the applications necessary to stream the shows I want. Pick up was great with ordering ahead, and customer service was wonderful. We have multiple Insignia tvs in our home and they have been great!
