Did some troubleshooting and the only thing I found was that it was a common problem with no fix

Bought this for my grandmother and mother, as I wanted something basic with no bells, whistles, and unneeded confusion. The picture was surprisingly bright and evenly lit. One began to have a fuzzy, picture and occasionally off color. This progressed to vertical and horizontal lines in the screen. Being that it was over 42" this required a house call or mail in service...unfortunately this was during the holidays and I just didnt get to it. I'll be replacing a TCON board myself... which appears to be less than $30.
