I needed to buy a TV for my bedroom and 43" was the largest size that would fit in my armoire. I have a 65" 4k Samsung Q60 in the living room so I was prepared to be disappointed but I have been pleasantly surprised. The picture is quite good and the sound is more than adequate. The colors are bright and accurate and the picture is fairly sharp. As you might expect in an inexpensive TV, it doesn't show dark scenes as well as outdoor or brightly lit interior scenes. I have only had the TV for a couple of weeks so I can't judge it's durability. I was a little skeptical about the quality of a TV I bought for $150 so I also purchased the 5 year Best Buy maintenance agreement. I recommend this TV if you don't need 4K or a Smart TV.

Like the Insignia brand. This TV is an upgrade to larger screen (we moved the existing, still working one to our camper). Clear picture, easy to set up, good value for price.

Nice TV!!!! We have only had this for a few months, but so far, we have been extremely happy with it. Picture quality is excellent and it serves the purpose for which we bought it. The interesting thing is .... Insignia was a brand unfamiliar to me, but we were searching for a nice set that was NOT SMART, and the choices available with that option seem to be dwindling.
The only thing I would change on this set (so far) is the feet. I personally prefer the platform stands that seem to be more stable. That said, we have not had any trouble with anything on this set.

Great picture and size. Easy to set up. The legs are compact and fit nicely on the shelving unit I placed it on. Remote is easy to understand and use. Perfect mid-sized television at a low price.

Wanted an inexpensive no frills tv. The picture is good. I've seen better, but really it's quite good. I do not have cable tv. I am a cord cutter. So when I hooked up my Roku to this tv, for some apps the picture wasn't very good, or there would be flashes.... So, I attached the Roku with a new and better HDMI cable and that did the trick!! Be sure to have the latest HDMI cables with greater speeds and power, and your Roku will probably work better. Or buy a newer model of Roku... For the most part I am happy so far, with this Insignia 43" TV. I find the remote easy to work and understand. So far, this TV seems like a great value. We'll see if it holds up!

Received television on stated date of delivery. The television was in pristine condition as there is a lot of packaging. All accessories were present. It will take a long Phillips head screwdriver to attach the legs. Once on the on-screen menu was easy to follow to complete the setup process. The picture is crisp in all of the options available. The only issue is that the speakers are, at the rear of the television. The sound however is wonderful.

So, I bought this TV for my kids' TV room. It is light and feels cheap, but the pic quality is good and for the price you can't beat it. Set up was easy. I'd buy it again.

This TV is exactly what I needed. I was buying another TV exclusively for a spare bedroom to play xbox in and didn't exactly want to splurge, but also didn't want some small cheapo TV that would impact playing experience. This 43'' Insignia fit the bill for the type of value I was looking for.
I opted to save the $30-50 which is my estimate for the price premium to get a Smart TV and go with a traditional one. First of all, it is mostly going to be used for gaming. Second, I think a Chromecast is a much smoother experience than using the Smart TV interface and will simply use that if I ever want to stream content.
Overall very happy with the product especially at the sale price.

bought this tv on sale for $189. I was skeptical as to how good this tv could be at that price point. I use it for a second monitor for my computer and the contrast is better than my 23" Acer primary monitor. I am extremely happy with this purchase and if you are considering this TV, my advice is "go for it". You won't be disappointed. I did not want a smart tv since I was using it as a second monitor to watch content on my computer. I have it attached to the hdmi output of my Nvidia 970 graphics card and I have a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 audio interface that feeds two JBL near field monitors for sound. Perfect size for my office and great picture quality.

Very nice TV. I didn't want a "Smart" TV as I already have a Roku device and don't need the aggravation associated with some smart TV's. The picture on this TV is excellent and the sound is pretty good for basic TV speakers. The only problem I've noticed with the unit is that it's a bit finicky about receiving IR remote signals for off/on. Sometimes I have to hit the button 3 or 4 times to get the TV to turn off/on. Weird. Anyway, I really enjoy the set and recommend to anyone needing a basic TV.
