For the initial cost.. a great buy, So far in a weeks time the picture is excellent... All tvs have basic sound.. so in order to get better sound will add a sound bar.... Operation is easy and straight fotward and the sound is not bad....Hopefully at this price point 150.00 on sale orginally 200.00 this tv will hold up well and be trouble free...Overall an excellent deal....Time will tell how it holds up as compared to the big name brands.....

The picture quality and ease of use is very good! But I have to agree with others who said the stand is wobbly. The screws through plastic into plastic, so you don't want to to them too tight but these never really get tight. Thank goodness it is in an entertainment unit or I would worry that it would fall over. I contacted the manufacturer to see if they had a fix. They answered once, but when I provided more information they requested, I never heard again.

Overall, this TV seems to be a good buy for me. The picture is good most of the time. When playing DVR recordings of older shows, the limitations of how those shows were made is more obvious on this TV than on other TVs. To some extent, I feel a need to view this TV from directly in front rather than from an angle, but maybe I'm imagining that. On older recordings in particular, this TV does tend to make all of the darker colors a bit too dark. On more recent broadcasts, the picture quality is much better. I'm watching a UFC fight as I write this, and the quality looks good. I think this TV will be great for watching sports. I'm using the old red, white, and yellow plugs. HDMI might give a better picture. The setup went mostly well. Getting the feet on the bottom of the TV was a little frustrating. Once I got the TV standing, everything plugged in well and worked. My biggest complaint is that the feet that hold the TV up can only seem to be positioned on the bottom of the TV so that they point outwards at an angle. That feels less secure. That also causes them to stick out about half an inch over each side of my old TV stand. If they would fit perpendicular to the TV, they would provide a more secure base and fit on the stand. I hate when manufacturers made things in a way that are more difficult to install as I want them installed. If the feet could be easily installed perpendicular to the TV, I'd give this TV a five-star rating.

I purchased this TV last weekend, and I am so thrilled that I did. It was very easy to unpack and add the stands. You will need a phillips screwdriver. When you first turn it on it will walk you thru step by step setup that is easy to understand and follow. I upgraded from 39" and it is such an improvement when watching movies and tv shows. The picture quality is great in all modes, I prefer Movie mode. The sound quality is fantastic even at low levels. I prefer Theater mode. The remote has a simple layout with good size easy-to-read buttons. The only improvement would be if it was backlit. And yes, the batteries are included. I primarily use a Roku Streaming Stick and having the USB port to power it is a great benefit. And I am able to use the Roku Remote to turn the TV on/off and change the volume. I highly recommend this TV to anyone looking for a great product at an affordable price.

Had for a week, so far so good. Kind of leary about buying house brands. But, for what we needed from a TV, the size being correct, non cluttered remote, and a price of $150, we bought it. It is not a "smart" TV. As with all TV's today, there is glare issue due to the glossy reflective screens. The feet angle inward in the rear and outward in the front. Had to slide a piece of cardboard, like from a cereal box, under the rear feet to make it vertically straight. (I have ordered a table stand which will allow swivel, height, and tilt adjustmenrs.) The remote is intuitive and has a good feel. The power, volume, and channel buttons on the remote are glow in the dark. The side angle viewing does diminish the more off center you get. We use it in our kitchen mostly for watching the news. The sound is fine, considering it has rear facing speakers like most TV's.

Great tv for my 5 year old son. Easy to use remote and also has plenty of inputs for all of his games and any extras that he may need. Price is very reasonable as I've had to replace 3 TVs prior to this one( toys being thrown while playing around not any problem with the tvs themselves) . Picture quality isn't top of the line but for the price I'm very satisfied and if he does break this one i will purchase the same one if it is still available.

I needed a bigger replacement for the 32" Samsung in my garage man cave, specifically one with analog audio output so I could hook it up to my tube amp without using an optical-to-RCA converter (which causes a split second audio delay). I know from experience that "smart" TVs in this price bracket use the cheapest and worst available processors, and a Roku or Fire Stick is far superior to those, so I didn't need a smart TV. I also didn't need 4k at my viewing distance (about 6.5'), and this TV also happened to be a little lighter than the ones that did have those features. Thanks to the VESA mounting standard, it was painless to attach it to my existing mount (save those extra bolts!). The onscreen interface is much more primitive than I'm used to, which isn't necessarily a bad thing - the big LG in my living room may have fancy 4k animated menus, but it also has an overwhelming number of features and it can be an ordeal to find what I'm looking for. First impression of the Insignia - unrealistic colors, easily fixed by reducing the "color" setting (it does not have separate RGB settings). That done, in my opinion the picture is amazing for the price, easily as good as the smaller 1080p Samsung and much brighter, and it confirmed for me that 4k wasn't needed. I'm seeing more detail than I sometimes want, such as the tiny hairs on a person's face, pores, etc. Motion brings out detail that wouldn't be visible in a still image. I do notice pixelation in slow moving CGI video if I get closer. Fast motion blur/ghosting is there, but it's acceptable and I don't notice it unless I look for it. This definitely isn't a gaming monitor. Backlighting is mostly even, except for a couple of slightly glowing spots at the bottom that I only notice when no video is playing. Black levels aren't great, but the screen is more matte than glossy, which was a nice surprise. This is the only "bargain brand" TV I have in a house full of LGs and Samsungs, and overall I can say that I'm very satisfied. If you're streaming and the picture seems out of focus, check the source media and your wifi connection - quality will degrade based on the signal being received. A wifi extender and color adjustments can work wonders. I'm a little concerned that it won't last, due to Best Buy employees on certain forums reporting that returns for Insignia TVs are two to three times higher than the big brands - but if I can get a few years out of it, I'll be pretty happy. For $150 it's practically disposable, and a steal compared to what was available five years ago. I plugged it into a good surge protector and will keep my fingers crossed. In 7 months of daily use, no problems yet.

This tv is just what i wanted. I did not want a smart tv. It has a great picture. The sound is better than my last tv which was a Sanyo. It is very light weight. I wish the legs very sturdier. But i can fix that problem. And it was on sale when i bought it. I was not really familiar with this brand. But so far i would recommend it.

Bought this to replace an old 40 inch TV in our bedroom. With the thin frame design, this 43 inch screen has the same dimensions as an older 40 inch screen. Much lighter and easier to install on the wall. Picture is just fine. We have it hooked up to a soundbar. Plenty of inputs for components. A great value.

I love this tv . I bought it back in 2021 and it’s now 2024 and it’s working perfectly! Not a single issue . Sound is great and picture is clear! I use my switch, fire stick and gaming laptop on this with no issues ! I love it better than my 55in sceptre!

I wanted a tv for my bike room and knew I would be using a Fire Stick - so “smart capabilities” were not needed. I could not be more pleased with this machine. It has a great picture and wonderful sound (although I did add a soundbar - it was not necessary). Additionally, it is VERY light and was very easy for me (a small-ish woman) to maneuver home alone. And I couldn’t argue with the price!

If you are looking for an inexpensive, no thrills TV, this is a good choice. 43' is big enough for most rooms. There is no sense in paying more for a smart TV or 4K is you just want to watch TV. My only complaint is the difficulty in attaching the stand legs.
