Awesome light. Use it all night for illumination of living room

I boughtthe bulb to put in a place where I don't want to put another one in with my lifetime.

OK bulb, but doesn't provide full lighting around the whole bulb because of the design. Very noticeable in some fixtures. Also, couldn't use with an existing dimmer because the bulb buzzed when dimmed ... though a specialty dimmer for LEDs may solve that issue.

I replaced five 40 watt incandescent bulbs with these LED bulbs. The light output was comparable but the color was a great improvement. That along with the energy efficiency, heat reduction, and long life makes these bulbs well worth the extra cost. And $5 a bulb is not a bad price compared to other LED bulbs that I have seen. The only con is a slight buzzing sound that they make but it's hardly noticeable.

These bulbs are replacing any and all other type of bulbs around the house. Instant on, usable in cold weather (ie porch lights), light is pleasing to the eyes, cool "burning" and all the while using fractions of KWH from other bulbs.

I now have eight of these bulbs in my home, in both for 450 and 800 lumens styles. They are great! I highly recommend them to anyone. Best Buy has the best price around, for all 8, I paid than $50. My only minor complaint is that the plastic cladding partially obstructs some of the light in the plastic lens. This is very nitpicky. I bought these lights to use in newly remodeled bathroom.. The light they emit is good.. I bought a 4 light fixture to go above vanity.. I wanted dimmable bulbs, which these are suppose to be.. I tried one in my living room floor lamp and it would only dim somewhat and start to flicker right before turning dimmer switch fully off.. I thought it was just the dimmer switch in the light itself not being of high quality.. I bought a VERY expensive wall switch dimmer that is specifically for CFL and LED lights to use for my 4 light fixture in bathroom.. The lights only dim a little bit NOT fully.. Very disappointed..

I bought a few of these when they were the deal of the day. Great price and wonderful bulb. So bright. I'm very happy.

The bulbs are ok when they work. I am using 5 in a dimmable over the table fixture. Two of the 5 bulbs have quit within 2 months. I returned the bad bulbs for new ones. Should last 22 years, not 2 months.
