The plug does not come with the cord. You have to purchase that seperately? It should come together.

This charger is phenomenally fast! I have the Samsung Flip Z3 and it is a power hungry phone (especially with my use). So I need to charge it at least twice a day. This charger keeps my downtime to a minimum because I can top off my phone in minutes. I know—that topping off is not advisable per whoever experts. But even from 60% I can fully charge it in 40 minutes. I also have the Galaxy S7 tab which is a very powerful tablet. I used to use my laptop charger just to get that charged in an hour. Now, I can easily use this charger to charge it, pretty much as fast as it charges my phone. So you know what I did—I actually tried to see if this can charge my laptop. Lol. And guess what—IT DOES! And it does it decently well. I carry a slim laptop bag--- and this actually helps lessen the load by me NOT HAVING TO CARRY MY LAPTOP POWER BRICK any more! This is my experience and practice so don’t take me as an expert me on this—your laptop manufacturer may penalize you or void your warranties. So far it is good for me so, whatever--- it works for me and I think this charger is a game charger, I mean game changer. You know what’s also great about this charger, besides that the metal prongs collapse for easier storage and transporting in my bag, is the size of the brick is just right to fit in between plugs in a powerstrip. So it is actually a compact source of power that I can bring anywhere, with the ability to plug myself in between crowded sockets at coffee shops or airports. Ha. Love it. I don’t know how else to be thankful—but seriously, if you do not have one, it’s a no-brainer.

It's got great PD 3.0 modes, and PPS. For PD voltage, 5v, 9v, 15v, and 20v are supported. For PPS range, it does 3.3v to 11v or 3.3v to 16v. Technical details aside, this will Super-Fast Charge any Samsung device, fast charge and iPhone or iPad, and charge almost any laptop. It's super compact, boxy, and fits solidly into any wall socket without blocking other outlets. I love the design, quality, and fit and finish. This is a versatile charger to pack in a bag or use as a secondary to top up your laptop. There's a ton of voltage modes so you don't have to worry about compatibility! I also thought I would mention that the included Insignia USB C cable is on par with their dedicated offerings, and they are the highest quality USB C cables on the market. Don't skimp on cables! Finally, I'll mention that this charger does NOT get hot during operating which means it's safe and efficient.

With some high end name brands not including chargers anymore with their phones, even their flagship phones, it makes having a high wattage charger like this one a necessity. It comes with a 6 foot USB C to USB C cable rated 5 amps / 100 watts. The cable is covered in fabric and even has a velcro tie to keep it bundled when not in use or to keep it short. The cable’s build quality looks and feels premium. The charger only has a USB C connection and it will charge up pretty much anything that has a standard USB C connection. If you have a USB C to Lightning connector then you can charge up iPhones and old iPads too. DOne fine with my 9th Gen iPad. Compatibility depends on the cable, and or adapters, you use with it. It charges my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra up faster than the 45 watt charger from my Note 10+. Not a night and day difference but a bit faster. It does get warm when in use and pulling a load like a recent smartphone or similar device. Not as much when charging up earbuds or something like that. I used my thermal camera, infrared thermometer and thermocouple thermometer to get some temperature readings of it under a high load charging up my Galaxy S22 Ultra. The charger runs about 5 degrees above ambient temperature plugged in and idle. Maximum temperature the thermal camera recorded was 130F. Max for the IR was 118F. Max for the thermocouple was 105F. Yes, these readings do vary quite a bit. I’m not going to get into all the reasons why, but it will feel warm in your hand when under a load, but not hot. I used the thermal camera to show where it gets hot and that the cable gets a little warmer than ambient temperature. More so at plugs on either end. This is normal. Nothing is overheating. As far as I know, all chargers have some sort of thermal protection from overheating. Especially a premium one like this one. A $2.99 job might be really iffy for thermal protection. I took several photos of the thermal testing, so please see photos. Note, my thermal camera has a thermal sensor and a standard digital camera sensor and overlays the images. You can align them to match position up to a point. I was too close to get the alignment perfect. I think that this is very good product build and performance wise. Recommended!

The Insignia 45W charger is very well made with powerful charging abilities and in a compact size. The charger is advertised for Samsung smartphones and tablets with supercharging capabilities. The brick is very light, a little bulky and the prongs can be flipped open and close. The cable is 6 feet long braided and is certified to carry 100 watts. It is a little stiff but flexible enough. Both ends of the cable have UBSC connectors. The charger works as advertised. This charger is actually perfect for traveling. I plugged in my Note 20 Ultra and to my surprise the phone actually says super fast charging. I have never seen that on my phone which I own for almost 2 years and that’s because the original charger only supports fast charging. Even the charging display animation is in a different color when supercharging. I charged my phone with 30% battery and in about 10 minutes the phone was at 50% percent. I made a comparison with this supercharger and a fast charger and noticed that the difference in charging speed is about 5 minutes apart. I also used it with my Slate tablet that doesn’t support super charging. However, I was surprised that I got better results than my phone. It charged more than 15% in less than 10 minutes. Overall this charger lives to its expectation and works as advertised. You can use it with any USB-C device but to take advantage of its super fast charging capabilities your mobile device has to support it. Even the ones that don't support the super fast charging will benefit from it. The brick itself is a little bulky but is perfect for traveling. In the box you get the 45W charging brick, 6 foot USB-C 100W certified cable and some manuals.

Insignia may not always be the first brand people think of when it comes to accessories, but they have been around for a good number of years, and many times do make some solid items. The 45watt phone charger is a good choice for people who have phones with USB-C ports on them for charging, when in many cases you don’t even get a charger anymore… just a cable, and you’re on your own to use lower wattage chargers that came with older phones. This particular kit came with the 45watt charger, and a 6-foot braided USB-C to USB-C charging cable, the cable being rated up to 100watts. The Insignia charger itself is about average in size; larger than the small 5watt chargers that sometimes came with other phones, but not huge. Give or take slightly, roughly 1.5 inches around. There is one USB-C port on the front, and with the included cable or any other that’s USB-C, you plug it in, and then into your USB-C capable phone, tablet, earbud case, etc., and you get a fast charge on it. While the paperwork leans toward Samsung devices, it should work on anything that has USB-C charging. I have tried it on a Samsung A52 5G, a Google Pixel 5a, a generic LED rechargeable light, and a Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE tablet, and in all cases, it has charged reliably and quicker than any chargers that came with them (when they did). So far, I’ve had no issues with overheating. It gets a bit warm when in use but not “hot”, and they say it has overcharge protection built in. As with ANY brand of charger, I recommend people never leave any device charging when you are not at home or able to observe it. My only wish might be for it to have dual USB-C ports so you could charge two items at the same time, but at this price point it’s not really to be expected. The Insignia charger is sold as a standalone charger or for just a few dollars more, with the 6ft cable, and I recommend the bundle, as the braided cable is very sturdy and worth more than buying them separately. Recommended.

Summary: Better than expected! I was pleasantly surprised by the value and quality of this device. It even comes with a high end cable. I was very happy with the compactness for travel. This is a must buy over the name brand.Great for Samsung phones or tablets. Liked: -Size -Style -Compact -Braided cable -Long cable Disliked: -An additional USB-C or USB-A port would be nice Unboxing: The packaging is your typical Insignia branded style of white with blue accents. Inside the box you will find the charger, a 6’ braided cable and the usual warranty documents. First impression: The first thing that hit me was that the unit is smaller than your typical 45W charge. Partly this is due to the more square shape. I am not sure if it is using GaN or not but it is small enough I could not be surprised. I could not find information if GaN was in use or not on the website. The plugs collapse for travel making the charger more compact. I was also surprised that the cable is a braided 6’ 100W cable, overkill for this charger but very welcome since I can use it for charging my laptop with a larger adapter. Use: Great! I use it for work every day. It fits easily into a bag, and stays mostly cool. I tested it with a Galaxy S22 Ultra, a Galaxy S22 and an iPad Pro 11 which support 45W, 25W and 18-30W respectively. All devices charged in the same amount of time that my stock 45W charger provided. I attached a photo showing all the supported charging outputs.

This Insignia 45 Watt compact USB-C charger kit is a perfect charger for traveling or brining along with you on the go.This an excellent alternative to my OEM Samsung 45 watt super fast charger. It is definitely more travel friendly. It has a smaller more compact profile, and the plug part fold up into charger making it even more portable. The cord is heavy duty to support fast charging, but the downside to this is it's definitely on the stiff side. Even though it's stiff, it looks and feels to be high quality, so you should be confident that this cord will last. The cord also has a cable management tab, so storing it will be easy and you dont have to worry about it getting tangled up. This insignia 45W compact charger charges my Samsung s22 Ultra extremely fast. My phone immediately recognizes the charger to enable super fast charging 2.0. I would definitely recommend this charger to anyone looking for a travel charger or just your basic everyday use. Likes: 1.) Compact and very portable 2.) Build quality 3.)
