If you turn it off nothing happens. Would highly recommend turning it on for best experience, though both ways are exhilarating.

Love the smart functionality with Amazon alexa. No need for cable box or streaming device since capabilities are built in.

It also is compatible with a cheap antenna for providing basic channels. The remote makes it easy to switch between TV and streaming services.

I love that the remote has a Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime button on it. So far I have not had any issue with it. A great size for a living room TV.
