White flickering
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TV has at several time had an annoying white flickering. The first few times it was short lived and went away. Recently it has been going on for weeks and there is seemingly no fix. I have tried the recommended fixes but to no luck. May have to get another TV as watching is a hazard to vision.

Lies and then smoke and more lies.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Literally zero stars for the tv and for the "help" i have received getting it fixed. This tv DOES NOT have a 2.1 hdmi port. Do not believe the specs. They are wrong. When i went to the store to complain the guy said the manager was not there and i would have to call the bestbuy CS number. Out of the 6 yes SIX people i talked to noone even knew how to begin to resolve my issue. It got to a point where i spent 11 hours between two days on the phone the majority was on hold. I went back to the store. The same dude i spoke to before then claimed to be the asst manager tells me he will call his tv tech. He comes back to lie to me to say its only for data transfer(?) This is a lie. An egregious one. I have an IT degree in info sys/cyber security. This is not remotely how this works. So i call him on his bs and THEN he offers me 10% off of another TV. That is HUNDREDS MORE. NO. I want a 4k tv with 2.1 HDMI for the price advertised.

Unhappy Customer
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have only had this tv for 2 years and it no longer works. The screen is completely black and no one will honor the warranty to fix it or provide a new tv. A total loss.

Burnt out within 2 years
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price we paid for a solid smart TV, I expected it to last more than 2 years before the backlight went on the TV. Backlight issues are tough to have repaired and the cost to fix is more than it's worth...

Not enough storage
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s working ok. But there’s not enough storage on the tv for basic apps all of a sudden. So you can’t use those apps if they need to be updated. Then you’re required to buy an external usb for more storage

Half of features work
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We initially were interested on getting a 50" TCL smart tv Roku edition. Unfortunately, they were out of stock. Rep assisting us found this Insignia fire edition smart tv and stated that it was comparable to the one we were looking at. We already had an amazon account so fire tv set up was easy. Some of the apps we downloaded worked for about a week and then we noticed issues we were having. Some of the streaming apps, when playing a movie, show, etc. the sound would be silent or sound as if a speaker was busted. Watching regular tv, no issues with sound. I had issues with ESPN app, it wouldn't allow me to access anything. I was on the phone with amazon support, they saw an influx of customers having the same issue with model (insignia) smart tv's having the same issue. No ETA on a resolution so far. Unfortunately, we cannot return/exchange since it's passed the 2 week return policy. I had to use my firestick in order for the apps i wanted to work, despite it being a fire tv edition. I paid for a "smart tv" but only have a regular TV now

1 Works, 1 Broke
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought two of these. 1 broke and no longer works (screen randomly has lines through it and has the screen of death - probably a circuit board issue after trying all standard hard reset fixes and still not working). 1 is still working (for now). Considering I bought two of these and 8 months later only one of them works is ridiculous.

Don't buy
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.15 days owned (today) and it started acting up about week and half ago. We don't live in town for return and haven't been able to yet. Was going to box up and travel 35 miles for return this weekend- but oh- can't. AFTER 15 DAYS! The TV shuts off 15 minutes after turning it on. We've checked all settings thinking it may be a timer and found no answer. Wasted our money and won't buy Insignia again ever.

Cast beat at the Black Friday price
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not the greatest looking tv but for the Black Friday price it was impossible to beat. It’s just an entry level tv so don’t expect perfection
