    Great until it quit working

    I loved this tv until the bottom half of the screen stopped working. Had it for less than 3 years. I have 2 other smart tv's that are tow and three times as old. Of course I olny got the 2 year protection plan. If you buy it get the longer warranty

    Not great for being almost 500 bucks

    I had almost no issues for the first year or so. But then the tv would flicker when watching youtube or anything with a lot of particles. A little more than 3 years later, and the backlight has now gone out. I didn't watch anything on it for 6 months last year.

    This TV was purchased for my mom as a gift. Brand new, out of the box, we encountered problems. We cannot sync the cable remote to the TV, and it would randomly shut off without warning and the sound was very low. Likewise, it would freeze, the voice tracking would be off, and it would often require restarting. There's no option to change the sleep settings, so we returned and exchanged it after about 3 weeks. After getting home and setting up the second one, we immediately noticed the sound was even lower than the first set, and it randomly shut off in less than an hour. I urge her not to get the same brand of TV, because she also has a 43" Toshiba Fire TV that has no issues at all. Unfortunately, she exchanged it anyway and had the same problems. It's not worth the hassle.

    Do not buy an open box "Fire Edition" version of this tv; you will 1000% regret it. I bought an open box floor model of the tv. It did not come with a remote or a stand and this tv is evidently useless without it's own factory sealed insignia brand Alexa voice enabled "Fire Edition" remote. Best buy gave us an amazon remote, but the bluetooth on the tv was not working, so we finally factory reset it, and now it's a broken tv again. Fire is right, like dumpster fire. Not sure if I'm going to return it, or try to explain to best buy (again) that you cant describe the tv as open box- fair if it has zero functionality without purchasing some specific remote. I regret not buying a roku tv, over and over and over :(

    The first time I didn’t like a tv. Tv constantly shuts off without prompting. I can’t doze without it shutting off after a certain amount of time. Pause any longer than a few minutes, same thing. The tv just shuts off.

    After 1 month, the sound is bad. Best Buy only has a 15 day return. So, you are stuck with a product that doesn’t work well. I will be glad to update after appt for repair as the manf offers a 1 yr warranty. This is Insignia, Best Buy’s own brand.

    Blacklight died 3yrs and 2wks after purchase!

    I liked the picutre on this TV while it lasted, but 3 years and 2 weeks after purchase, the blacklight went out! My other Insignias have lasted much longer, so this is extremely disappointing! I understand that we live in a "disposable electronics" world, but I find that environmentally unacceptable and irresponsible. I'll give this to someone who fixes and re-purposes electronics. DO BETTER, Insignia/Best Buy!!!!

    There seems to be a common thing with this TV right after the warranty expires the picture decides to stop working. They know exactly what the issue is because when you call they they say its not in warranty and it sounds like the backlighting issue. Will NEVER buy INSIGNIA AGAIN!!! Also the controllers break so easily its ridiculous

    Well bought this 2 years ago and now the tv no longer works. i think the backlight burned out somehow while all our other tvs are lasting longer then this. This is BESTBUYS brand and do not recommend as now i am out of a tv..
