There seems to be a common thing with this TV right after the warranty expires the picture decides to stop working. They know exactly what the issue is because when you call they they say its not in warranty and it sounds like the backlighting issue. Will NEVER buy INSIGNIA AGAIN!!! Also the controllers break so easily its ridiculous

TV was good for the price while it last. Literally began pouring smoke from the back of the TV and ceased to work. Lasted about 3 years.

I’ve only had it for 2 years and the screen went out. You can still hear everything perfectly fine, but there’s no picture.

Bought 3 of these on Black Friday, gave them on Christmas so not opened or used till then. None of them lasted till the next Christmas and they would fix, replace, or anything.!!!! Insignia has really gone down in quality and then an employee told us they use refurbished / used parts!!All 3 same issue BACKLIGHTS. If even one light on the strip goes out then it won't work. Volume w/ a black screen is what you end up with.

What a crummy TV! First off the storage stinks and its finicky as to when it will read my USB device or not and I have tried different USB devices. Now all the sudden the screen has gone dark, I cannot navigate because the screen is mainly black!

Everything about the TV itself is fine, but the FireTV interface is WAY inferior to what we're used to with our Roku Lite.

No built-in bluetooth.
When turning it on, it never defaults to a chosen input. You always have to go through extra steps to choose the input.

TV lasted 14 months

Backlight went after 14 months, then sound. Very disappointed in this TV after all the good reviews. If you google it, you will see the backlight dying is a problem. With the Geek Squad protection plan I purchased for $213, to have a repairperson come out (for 50") is $49 plus whatever the 3rd party person charges, plus labor and 20% off of parts. Not a deal at all. Read before you buy, which my fault, I didn't.

Lasted a little over 3 years before going partly black and then fully black screen. Had loading and storage issues, kept losing usb connection and not enough memory on the device for more than a few apps sadly.
