**DO NOT BUY**
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worst TV I’ve had. As a smart TV, this shows wayyy more Ads compared to using an Apple TV for streaming the same networks. Screen eventually went out completely in just under 3 years. Save yourself the trouble and stay clear of Amazon Fire TV’s

Great buy, if you like no sound.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had this tv for 18 months, and wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy. First thing is, I’m constantly having to restart it, in order for various apps to work. Now less than 2 years, I have no sound coming from the tv speakers. I’ve tried every troubleshooting option known to man, including a factory reset. Still there is no sound coming from the tv. It’s out of warranty so Insignia won’t do anything about it. So I’m stuck with a tv, less than 2 years old with no sound. I’ve seen from various online forums, where this brand of tv is notorious for the sound going out. All prospective buyers might want to know that. BUYER BEWARE!!

sad, poor and now without a TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had to save up to afford this TV (broke college student) and I bought it April 27 2019 and October 2020 the whole TV is dead and it would cost about what I initially payed for it to have it repaired. I've tried every troubleshooting tip provided by insignia (btw; try turning the off and back on" doesn't really work if the TV stops turning on at all) and I spoke with customer support and basically I'm out of luck. In doing some research trying to fix the TV it seems this is a problem for many people who have bought this tv. Unless you can afford reoccurring TV repairs, I would try and find a different option.

Short Lifespan
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After 3 years, the tv backlight has died. Not impressed. Lifespan not really there.

Disappointed.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had no issues with this tv until the entire screen went dark and was blinking. Searched many forums on how to correct the issue and found that was actually a common issue with the tv. The tv was two years and one week old and Insignia was unwilling to remedy the situation although they are aware that this has been happening frequently. There was no damage to the tv or warning. A tv screen should not completely blow after just two years.

Burnt out in less than 2 years. DO NOT RECOMMEND
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’d give 0 stars if I could. I’ve had the tc less than 2 years and the backlight is apparently burnt out. Burnt out of nowhere too. I have kept the tv in pristine condition. To me, this was a higher end tv with great reviews and was expensive for me. To have the tv “burnout” in such a short time is infuriating!!

Lasted 3 1/2 years.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased in November 2020, and as of April 7, 2024 there is only sound, no picture unless you look really close to the screen with a flashlight indicating the backlight is gone. A tv should last more than 3 1/2 years! Poor quality for a Best Buy product.

Horrible. Lasted 1 year and 4 months.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It lasted a total of one year and four months. We didn't move the TV, touch it, or shift it at all in the past year and 4 months. The screen went to garbage and only shows lines. Absolute trash TV, don't waste your money. There's no excuse for this awful product and service.

Not built to last!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV in December of 2020 and yesterday at 37 months the screen went black. Still have sound, but no picture. Pretty sad that just over 3 years this TV crapped out. I'm glad I kept my 14 year old TV just in case. Don't think I will buy another Insignia again.

No Longer A Good Buy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If I could give this tv zero stars I would. My husband purchased last Sept as an anniversary gift for me as I recuperated from back surgery. On 11/28 the tv went black we could still hear sound no picture. Literally 1 year and we are out 259.00. I am so upset I loved insignia my first tv lasted from 2012 through 2019 which is why I did not hesitate to purchase another one. Now we don't know what to buy. Do research and because he thought it would last like the others he didn't get the protection plan. Bad business best buy

Don’t Buy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked it up today from Best Buy. I’ve already had to factory reset 3xs. Called customer service twice and I still can’t get it working. Some apps work some don’t. I’ve tried wifi and through the Ethernet cable. The TV won’t update, I can’t sign in to some of the apps, others say they can’t launch until TV updates. Unfortunately it won’t update after many many tries. All my other devices which are older have no issues. Don’t buy it. Not worth it. The way this is going, it’s looking like we will be returning it tomorrow.

Unhappy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The delivery was fine but the techs could not get the channels to load. (2 different techs) Then arranging for a return was a nightmare. 30+ minutes waits on the phone only to be disconnected. Forget the phone number that I gave them in case that happened; nobody called back. It was awful.

NOT This TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It seem so wonderful when you first get it but then you realize the following: 1) It automatically shuts off after 5 minutes or so even when you pause a movie - annoying. 2) The resolution occasionally degrades - not very noticeable but I saw it. 3) A year and a half later the LED lights no longer works - Darn it!

Not so smartv.....
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.About as far from a smart tv as you can get. Couldn’t get past the set-up and ended up just returning it for a Samsung. Started at 10am at 1pm had had enough. Fast forward to the Samsung which only took the amount of time it took to enter Netflix, Disney+ and Prime Video codes (10 minutes) to set up and start watching tv. Will never buy another Insignia.

Stopped working after 3 months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just like other reviews the picture started going out after 3 months. No reason for it at all, nothing is wrong with the TV. Because I can no longer return to Best Buy. I emailed Insignia and they got back to me quickly asking more questions. I responded quickly but have not heard anything back, which doesnt make me feel secure.

Don’t buy this. You’ll end up buying again soon.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TV is not very long lasting. We regularly have the TV off every day but the display ended up dying due to being defective a year and a half after purchase. I don’t recommend this television and Geek Squad will barely help. Making an unexpected purchase a year and a half after buying this television is not how I wanted it to go.

cheap disposable TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.1 year and 2 months and this TV stopped working. It was in a custom wall case the was built in. I call to see if there was any support for the TV but I was told no. I decided that this was a cheap disposable TV that wasn't worth repairing at my cost. Never buy this brand again. Purchasing a new TV.
