So I thought what the heck, I’ll just spend $20 more and get a smart tv. So far so good, it’s been about a month now and I’ve had no issues with it whatsoever. Shipping was super fast, it was packaged well, and set up was simple. Not to mention there’s no way you can beat the price of this tv for a 50”.

The first one had a manufactured defect so I returned it and purchased another one. My mom has one in her bedroom for 5 years with no problems so she wanted another one for another room. So far it is great although I did purchase a 2 year warranty just in case.

Love my Fire TV

The Fire TV picked up only usable digital channels from my antenna, unlike Roku TV's which pick up all digital channels, even if there's no signal, making channel surfing a chore. There's a slight hum from the tv when there is no content playing but it's no big deal.

The picture and sound quality is pretty neat. I have heard that the Fire TV home and apps can be harder to navigate than Roku, but so far I have not had any difficulty using it. The only problem I noticed is that there is a constant buzzing noise when the TV is on, even when it is paused.
