I have another Insignia tv which has been doing great. You CANNOT go wrong at this price. I tend to avoid smart tv's as they cannot key up with emerging technology. The picture is great. Some people have complained about the sound, but I think it's adequate. If I'm watching a movie, I use my sound bar.

For the price it is an ideal choice if that is all you require is a TV. I use it in an office setting for power point presentations and a display for computer based training. It is very simple to set up and use. This would be a great item for younger kids or the less tech savvy adult. Not a lot of the overwhelming options and features that many people do not want or need.
