Uh oh
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this as an "Opened Box" item, however after the 2nd day..the screen was malfunctioning. Took it back to the store and purchased a LG. Also sound quality is NOT good. I hope this was just a defective product out of a bunch. Hope this will help the manufacturer as they move to improve this item.

I could not be more satisfied
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.BIG TV. pictures don't do it justice. I replaced a 2013 insignia that was still going strong. I wanted 1080 for my newly purchased Nintendo switch. I don't need 4k or the 4k price tag, 1080 still looks great. The sound blew me away. So much so I just sat there and listened to the Skyrim intro screen. Really intimate and powerful. Easy to set up by myself. I couldn't tell how big it was but it's BIG. 44 inches across and 50 diagonal. It looks incredible. I feel sorry for anyone with a switch lite, they are really missing out. I got this specifically for the switch but I love 3 hdmi- I have my laptop (I didn't need a smart TV, if you HDMI your laptop boom you have everything you need, YouTube Netflix etc. I even set up a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse so I can use my "computer" "smart TV" from my couch, it's great), DVD player and switch on each HDMI. I love this TV, I didn't realize how much a nice big TV could improve your quality of life. And for free, fast delivery it was $250 sales tax included. It is a slim tv but still substantial. High quality for sure. Definitely worth the price, and I was seeing other brands at higher prices for only 32". I put mine on my relatively narrow sturdy wooden book case I got for $20 at the thrift store. It's very thick heavy wood, like a grade school classroom shelf cubby. I was so worried the legs not fitting on my cabinet, but they fit with an inch or so to spare with no risk of falling. The legs have thick rubber stoppers on the bottoms and are high quality metal. About 10.5"wide. It's a moderate weight -not heavy or clunky but won't wobble over. Not at all. Love this TV!!! I never had TV's or video games as a kid (under 25) but I decided to treat myself with the TV and the switch and I could not be happier. Really adds tremendous ambience. Fantastic sound quality, I can't wait to pull up a YouTube video of a Christmas fireplace or something. Ugh I'm never leaving my house now

EXCEPTIONAL Value!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was in the process of upgrading our main bedroom television from an old Toshiba 40" HDTV, and I first purchased a Vizio 40" LED at Sam's club but after getting it home and trying it out for a few days; I was dissatisfied with the size not the television. Therefore, I returned it and once I saw that this Insignia 50" was at the same darn price I paid for the Vizio, and after reviewing the feedback which was majority positive, I took a chance. I do my researching before buying any electronic device and I had heard about this brand in the past but just never decided to purchase. I'm very glad I did so far. Not only does this size look huge in our bedroom (like being at the movies on a big screen ) but the overall features and picture resolution is exceptionally good looking; and if I had anything to complain about, the remote response signal needs to be a bit better and the audio sound is good when watching television but you will need a sound bar or speakers to upgrade the sound when using a Blu-ray DVD device, etc. which I did add some cheap but good sound computer speakers I already had not being use. I'm very pleased with this purchase from Best Buy and they extended to me excellent customer service. THANKS!!!!!!!!!

Excellent bargain
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. And the picture quality is great. I bought mine to use for over the air reception with a 40' high HDTV antenna I have and this TV has excellent reception for over the air HDTV broadcasts. We live 90 miles north of Los Angeles and this Insignia 50" LED HDTV picks up all the major Los Angeles TV stations which our local cable provider no longer carries plus 100 other interesting stations. And the 1080p picture quality is outstanding with the over the air reception. I highly recommend this Insignia 50" LED HDTV

Great TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A thunderstorm wiped out my old TV, which was a different brand. We already bought 3 other Insignia TV's and love them. So it was a no brainer to buy another. My last TV was a 43" and this 50" fits the room better. I absolutely love this TV. It has a great picture. The sound is unbelievable. I think the volume goes to 40, but normally I have it at 10-12 and that's plenty. I honestly can't imagine why anyone would buy more expensive TV's. You just can't beat the quality for the price.

Perfect Bedroom TV
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the second insignia television I have purchased in the last two years. I bought a 55 inch smart tv for my living room but I needed something for the bedroom. The size of ideal for watching tv while laying in bed and the picture quality is amazing for the price. I could have spent a little bit more to get the smart version but I didn’t really need these feature in this room. The tv is thin and relatively lightweight. Overall great quality. Including the remote. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. I made sure to add the protection plan just in case.

Super TV, Easy setup, Nice price!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first smart tv and I was hesitant because it didn't cost a small fortune but I was pleasantly surprised with the great picture, easy setup for tv and internet. The only negative I had was when you turn on the tv you have to select (sat, dvd, usb, ect.) and I couldn't get my directv remote to work for that option so you have to keep original remote handy. Hey, need it for Roku anyway, so no big deal.

My Antenna Isn't Working Well Now!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV last night. I do not have cable or internet. I connected my antenna and my channels are not coming in as well as they did with my 13 year old LG HDTV. Do you have any recommendations to improve my channel clarity? This really is bumming me out right now!! Please give me some kind of option here.

Perfect for my needs
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV replaced a 32" Sony that I had purchased around 15 years ago for about $750. It's absolutely amazing to me that I could purchase a TV of this size and quality for 1/3 of the price I paid back then. I don't need a fancy TV. I don't do gaming. I mainly watch movies and a couple of favorite TV shows that I stream each week. I have enough smart gadgets in my apartment, so I don't need a smart TV, and this one is just smart enough. It's a very basic model, and it does very basic things very well. If your needs are like mine, you will love this TV.

Nice tv
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I will say the strong point of this model tv is the picture. The picture is super clear 1080p that is near 4k in quality. The settings are very basic but they are enough to get a good solid picture with great color, brightness and backlight. The sound is weird. People talking will be loud but background music when watching gets LOUD. I tried using different sound settings to adjust this problem but know luck so I just live with it. That's about it. No special features with this tv. It is a basic 50" tv

Excellent TV & the Price Was Great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this as a gift for my elderly mother at Christmas. She doesn't have wi-fi, but even if she did, I wouldn't have sprung for a ROKU model, since those generally cost $100 more, and a ROKU unit costs only $29.99. (Why pay $100 more for a TV with built-in ROKU that is locked inside the set, when you can spend only $29.99 for a stick you can carry around and plug in to any TV you like?) We hooked up this new TV while the family was gathered for the holiday celebration, and literally EVERYONE there was impressed. Several visited Best Buy's site to check out the specs, and they expressed amazement at the value for the money. From a personal perspective, the biggest surprise to me was the sound quality of the built-in speakers. I had anticipated the need to purchase a soundbar, but the sound is so good in Mom's den that a soundbar is probably unnecessary. (Of course, your mileage may vary.)

Great TV for the price & Quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very pleased with this Insignia brand TV. Crisp clear picture at 1080P Res. Decided to add a TV in my office. Didn’t need a 4K option but wanted a fairly large TV that was inexpensive. This is/was the best one for the price.

Awesome!
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this TV for over a year now and it still pleases me to this day. Very affordable compared to higher-end brands. Worth the money. The picture and sound quality are great too! It doesn't even weigh too much at all. Surprisingly very light for a 50". But I'm not sure if it has to do with the t.v... the volume does have a difference in the way you use your t.v. For example, I use my firestick and I also use my PS4 to play video games and watch movies. If my volume setting is at 30 while I'm using my firestick, the same volume is way louder on my PS4. Not really a big deal, just a little FYI

Great cheap TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had an insignia TV in the past for about 4 years before our power supply kicked the bucket. Hoping theyve improved in the last 6 years i went to go find a replacement for my Toshiba 55 inch TV. Going from a burned in guide box on 70% of the screen to a better, clearer picture then before is great for only $200! I was specifically happy it came with a TV tuner so i didnt need a tuner box to use my antenna. Almost all of the TVs i looked at didnt have tuners in them. Great color, nice UI, no built in ads, lots of connections in the back, and very low power consumption!
