I bought this for my in-laws. They did not need anything fancy as they are in their 80's. Needed something better than the 32 inch they had in their living room so they would not have to squint. Tried to talk them into 55", but they said 50, so that is what I got. Was a little sceptical because I caught it on sale at a good price, but did some research and decided to give it a shot. They love the picture quality and sound. Would highly recommend for those who are looking for a basic TV, which is getting hard to find since most all TV'S are going smart.

This was purchased for my 80ish-year-old mother-in-law. She does not have a computer or cell phone. Standard 1080p is a spectacular picture for her. The ease of remote functions was comprehendible with a little coaching. The picture was compared with three other brands all costing a hundred or so more. This is what she picked out.

Has great color and easy to use and assemble. The TV was at a great price. The sound is very clear and my son loves doing homework and gaming on it.

This is a good TV, Pros -- good price, clear picture, decent sound, very simple to set up. Cons-- the remote lags at times, no AV to connect audio devices unless you buy a modern sound bar.

I purchased this TV for my father as an upgrade to a bigger screen. He doesn’t need a smart tv as I gave him my old Roku so this TV was perfect. Picture quality is not great but for casual tv watching and sports I think it’s a great cheap option. My only real complaint is that the tv speakers are horrible but that’s to be expected from a budget tv in this price range. Buy an $80 insignia sound bar and this is a great setup for an older parent who doesn’t need the capabilities of a smart tv or a SVS sub rattling their tea spoon collection off the wall.

This is a great TV at a great price. Only downfalls are the remote is kinda tricky with turning the TV on at times and the volume doesn’t get really loud...

If all you are looking for is a simple to use TV with great picture quality, this should fill the bill quite nicely. If you want "smart TV" features, just add on a cheap $20 Roku & you're good to go, w/out needing a more expensive smart TV, that WILL get obsolete anyway. If you use it with a cable/satellite/IPTV service & have no need for smart features, why spend the extra $$$ & the extra complications for the smart features.

This is a good, clear HD picture. It's lightweight and extremely easy to install. A very good bargain.

It's a cheap tv. Its a thin bezel and decent quality. Picture is bright and clear. Colors are pretty vivid. Setup was easy. Last Insignia tv lasted 8 years. Maybe this one will too. It's a Best Buy in house brand and usually in house brands hold up pretty well as to not tarnish the company reputation. Plenty of HDMI inputs, energy efficient. It's no 4K HDR Samsung but it was $199!

Love this tv, perfect size for living room great picture great quality and so easy to setup.

Bought this as a replacement to an older (CRT) TV to be used in a guest room. The set up was easy, the pictures/color are great for the price and I am quite impressed with what I got for under $300. The only downside (minor) was I had to get a wider TV stand, as the "legs" are not in the center and are spaced on each end of the television-- so make sure you're factoring the footprint if you are not planning on mounting on to a wall bracket.

Had to make a fast decision on getting TV replaced. This has turned out to be 1 of my better choices for a great pic! Set up was fast and ever so easy! Only thing I would rather have is a single "foot" stand in middle so it would fit my TV stand better. Other than that there has been no issues. Everything just plugs in & works like a dream. Ordering online & picking up next day was very easy. Overall a pleasant experience. Thank you!

The TV was easy to assemble and install. All of the input ports are readily identified and accessible. The remote is user friendly. All of the most-used functions are clearly identified. Great picture and okay sound. It took some audio customizing to achieve good results. The 1080p is more than adequate for this size TV. The Geek Squad crew was EXCELLENT! They were polite and helpful. They knew what they were doing.

My grandmothers Vizio went out, and she wanted a new TV that was NOT a smart TV and since shes losing her eyesight she wanted something bigger. Luckily bestbuy was the only store to have a TV this size that’s not a smart tv. We decided to try this brand. I was hesitant, but so far so good. It’s crystal clear, great coloring, etc I’m definitely going to buy one for our house too.

TV is perfect for my living room! Size is great. Easy set up (I'm not a tech person & did just fine). I leave on all day for my dog (don't judge - ha!) and when I get home the video doesn't match the audio; i just change the channel then change back & its all good.

I was looking for a screen to update my sons' video game experience, and came across the Insignia - it is the right size for the right price, and it is also a good looking unit. Insignia is the "house brand," and through the years, I have never had a concern with any Insignia products, as I believe that Best Buy does a great job at keeping their name/brand quality solidly competitive!
