Love it!! Great picture, really good sound. Easy to set up. Why buy 4K when most shows aren’t broadcast in 4K? Bought Vizio 4K and picture was terrible. Took it back and bought this Gem!

I purchased this TV to use as a monitor for my PC. Can't get a 55" monitor for this price. Good buy.

Love this tv. We got it at a great price. We use it with a ROKU and haven't had any issues. We use it in our master bedroom and the picture looks excellent. No complaints.

I didn't expect much for the money from this tv but i was pleasantly surprised.

The picture is crystal clear, no matter how many times I try. the sound is out of sync with the movement of the mouths.

Nice basic TV. I use it for a computer monitor. It works great without any issues so far. This is my 2nd Insignia I am using for a monitor, I also have a Vizio with with the same setup.

When I bought this I kinda assumed it was a Smart TV - it wasn’t. It was the price that got me, so I wasn’t too bummed. My last Smart TV died after not even 2 years so I just wanted to replace it quickly so I could put my 32” back in my bedroom.

Out of all the TV’s in Best Buy mine was trashed. Hopefully when I exchange it this weekend this bad boy can last for a while.

This is our 4th Insignia television and the other 3 are still in use. Yes, there are many Smart and 4K televisions out there. We prefer the basic LED ones and stream with either Firestick or Roku. We have a sound system that this was compatible with and a perfect match for our household. Simple to setup. Great price and quality if you are looking for a "non-smart" television.

Wanted a basic TV for everyday use, kids use, etc. in our family room. This TV fits our needs and the 55” was a perfect fit on a wall between 2 doors, we have a Roku stick for it so don’t care it’s not a smart TV, picture is good and sound is good. We wall mounted it, but the feet/stands that screw into it are steel covered in plastic and I’m sure they would be very sturdy. We also have a digital antennae attached to it and the tuner picks up a ton of over the airwaves channels.

Insignia NS-55D420NA20 non-smart 55 inch LED replaces our excellent 2007 Vizio Jive plasma that died. We got a great deal at Best Buy with $80 off the regular low price, added a 5-year Geek Squad protection plan, and got promotional free delivery. The whole package was less than $325! Wow! And the picture, sound, appearance, and quality are really top notch - much better than we expected. Insignia picture and sound are beautiful - not at all a step down from our old plasma, which had beautiful picture and sound. Vivid natural colors, adjustable brightness and rich contrast with good dark blacks, and razor sharp in 1080p. Zero complaints. Not feature rich, but definitely enough features to enjoy. Nice to have simplicity with great function. Easily hooked it up with our Home Theater set up. Boom! This Insignia should take heavy use and last, based on my brother's very reliable 43 inch Insignia LED that is six years old and going strong. If I find otherwise, and we all know that even your top tier brand LED and OLED sets can go kaput in a heartbeat, our 5 yr. Geek Squad protection plan will step right in. Finally, I have no TV software updates to worry about with this "dumb" set. I simply plug in my Roku stick, or any other streaming device, and suddenly my $324 Insignia is a "genius" TV that gives me a ton of flexibility and options! P.S.: This set has a 400 mm × 200 mm (16 in × 8 in) VESA threaded hole pattern on back for you to mount the TV on a wall or upright stand. You would need four M6 × ___ mm screws (not supplied) to make those mounts - instead of using the supplied legs and their supplied screws that come with the TV. Your required screw length (mm) depends on your stand or mount. TV mount hardware kits with many M6 screws in various lengths with washers and spacers are sold by online retailers for around $10 delivered. Also, Best Buy can install for you, if you do not want to DIY. We highly recommend this tv set and the Geek Squad 2 yr. or 5 yr. plan for good peace of mind.

In today's world, everything electronic is SMART! I was looking for a great priced TV that is not. I found both in this TV!! I was very pleasently surprised with the quality, sound picture and most of all the price! I bought this TV as a gift for my fiance who wanted it to game on and it perfectly serves its purpose for that! My best friend loved the TV so much after seeing it in action, she went and purchased the exact same one!

This tv was a hidden jewel. I got it for the price, but it turned out to be a great investment. The one thing about my last tv was that it uses to make my room super hot. Great in the winter, but in the summer months, my room would get up there. This tv omits no heat, what a pleasant surprise. The sound quality is another gift. I literally have the tv on 8 and I have a pretty large room, and it's loud enough to hear all the way in the bathroom. The picture quality is top-notch and very sharp. There is no need to get the most expensive tv on the market this tv has all of the bells and whistles while being easy on your pockets. I would get again and will get another one when we move.

Did not need the streaming application, so just wanted a standard HD TV. Great unit. Very light and easy to mount. Super picture.

Use case: 1) Watching TV/movies in living room 2) PC use (including gaming) Pros: 1) Decent size for medium-size living room 2) Decent set of available ports 3) Decent video quality especially for the price Cons: -- nothing notable to report -- Neutral: 1) Stand is very basic, no adjustment options. Also, because of the design, requires very wide entertainment center (as opposed to a stand that is at the center of the TV which can be placed on a smaller entertainment center)

Got this a few weeks ago. Wanted a "dumb" TV as I have a FireTV stick and a Raspberry Pi hooked up to all of my TVs. The BestBuy salesman did his best to try to talk me into a smart TV, and I am glad I didn't listen. I can't believe how good the picture is on this set. Once I got it set up and tweaked the awful factory default settings- it's just gorgeous. Unless you're watching a 4K source- you don't need a 4K TV. There is a common misconception that your plain old cable, Netflix or DVD is going to display in 4K. This is flat out wrong. Not sure if Netflix is streaming anything in 4K, but even if they are- you'd better have a very fast connection and no caps on your internet service to take advantage of it. Until caps go away, this set fits the bill nicely. And it doesn't "phone home" like a LOT of the new smart TVs do. Just saying. Google it. I have another 55" Insignia, bought a few years ago, and it can't touch this one picture wise. ALL TVs have gotten better in that regard, not just the smart ones. I got this on sale, and especially for the price- I am more than satisfied. This is my 6th Insignia TV and the previous 5 are all still working and in daily use.

This brand Insignia is good tv brand I been using they brands for awhile they are pretty quality. We needed living room tv ‘55 inch was a perfect size the quality of the tv is good so far the sounds works well and tv resolution gives good picture. The tv is thin style very light. Hold well mounted on the wall. Easy accessiblity to work the tv. I would recommend this tv because it my experience with this brand has been good and this tv inches is perfect size for a living room.

This is my second time purchasing this exact TV in the last year. It has a great picture and is very easy to set up. This is especially nice for those of us who are not very technical. I will look into larger Insignia TV's then next time I want to upgrade. Highly recommended purchase.
