This one works well with the case on the iPod so we don't have to take it off. The sound is conducted well and the cable doesn't move when I hit a bump in the road.

I originally bought this aux cord to try to use my echo dot as a speaker for my Xbox, but that didn’t work out due to no fault of the cable. Now I just use it in my car with a dongle, and the audio is great!

Useful for playback on old portable speakers

Now most portable speakers have bluetooth then no need for this. If you have old portable or stand along speakers, you may want to keep your speaker and buy this.
