If you are looking for an inexpensive shredder that is portable, this is the one. I use it to shred any old or spam mail. I do not like that it sometimes jams as I am trying to shred to fast. Works great for what I paid for.

Love this shredder. It's small and can only fit about 6 pieces of paper, however, it's perfect for just shredding junk mail. As small as this is, it also shreds credit cards, debit cards, etc....which is an added bonus.

I had been looking for a portable shredder that would sit over the top of my own garbage bin for quite a while. I had one for years that finally gave up the ghost a couple of years ago, and they are incredibly difficult to find. So I was thrilled to find this one at Best Buy. The shredder mechanism itself seems to be well-constructed. It looks like it should last a good long while. The only problem (for which I deleted one star) is that the adjustable arm is not long enough. There is a very limited range of bin sizes that this shredder will fit. I have a standard, under-desk trash can purchased from an office supply store with an opening that's 10.5" x 14", and this shredder won't fit over it. The 10.5" side is too narrow, and the 14" side is too wide. This shredder requires an opening between 10.75" and 13", which is not any of the standard-sized trash bins in my office. I'm now trying to modify one of the cans in my office by drilling holes in it and adding a metal rod that will provide a lip on which the scanner can sit. If that doesn't work, I'll have to buy a new trash can to go with the new shredder.

super cheap, we dont all really need industrial expensive shredders. This is perfect for home use or small office, just buy a bin that will fit the dimensions of the shredder and your good to go

This Paper Shredder Works Great. I love that it's small and I can Take it with me any where I want. My mom wanted me to help her shred some papers and credit cards.

Very small and convenient shredder; I store it in my desk drawer, takes almost no space (compared to other shredders), but still capable of shredding the claimed amount.

I was looking for abshtedder and wastebasket combo but this one was so portable I couldn't resist trying. It seems like a little less power than the larger models so definitely not for big shredding jobs but handles the small ones fine.

Not much power here so do not expect to sticking magazines into this or even more than 3-5 letters..It is intended to be portable which I like, it is small but also is the engine obviosuly so given it is uder 10.00 I did not expect much given I have had 50 units burn out on me with just paper routinely..Shredders are a nightmare all the way up to the 80 dollar price so given this is so cheap if you have just basic not Everyday usage needs it will ge the job done. If daily usage is your goal spend another 20 and get a 30 dolllar unit with the stronger power because this is a very small unit and no waste bin you only ge the main shredder part be aware.

For a cheap shredder, It does what it says it will do. I ran a couple of credit cards through it and had no problem at all. Be aware, It doesn't cross cut, so if your looking for one that does, this may not be the one for you.

So little and so inexpensive and yet so powerful!!! Works better than some expensive ones I've purchased and a lot easier to use.

The shredder was extremely affordable. It is excellent for everyday home use. We did find it a little short to fit on most of our waste baskets, but that was the only issue we noted. Overall it is a good value.

I can fit this on any bin available and shred 5-6 sheets at a time and for the price I paid. Very good value!

Even though it states that it can cut up to 6 papers at a time, I don't think it can. I usually cut 1 page at a time. I tried two papers and I was afraid that it might get jammed. For safety, I have been doing one paper at a time. For people who do not have a lot of papers to cut, this paper shredder is a great product. The price is low too compared to the other shredders. My sister asked me to order one for her but the product is currently out of stock.

This shredder is perfect! My family had trouble with it but I loved it. the value for the performance is wonderful. It lasted 6 years AND would still work except I over did it. It was totally my fault and not the shredder. I am sure I could fix it but to save my time I am simply going to get another one. I will be buying INsignia again though.

This is a good shredder for the price and I was only able to find at Best Buy. Got the extended warranty for just in case. So far so good.

The shredder does a pretty big job shredding. Great value for the money though I would have preferred the shreds to be a little thinner than they actually are...

Really reliable. Easy to use as well as compact which allows it to store anywhere.

I got this on clearance , so this review may not be useful in the future. This product is fine for home use, as long as you don't plan on using it for long periods of time. It gets hot easily when used constantly. To the manufacturers credit, this is brought up in the instructions. Once it overheats, it takes 15-20 minutes for it to cool down, once again in the instructions. I am very happy with this product, once the very minimal cost is considered.
