Our other power strip had no issue. Got on a good sale so we are keeping and just being mindful that only certain things can run concurrently

Perfect in Every Way but Protection

Eight individual three pronged power outlets plus two USB charge outlets all spaced over 3 feet of a single sleek looking black narrow strip. This is perfect ergonomically and functionally for shops, garages, basements, HDTV console/entertainment centers and computers. However, if you are in a lightening prone area, or have expensive equipment that needs power surge protection, there are products for half the price with far better surge protection (3000joules as opposed to this strip's 570joules). You can get 10 times or higher levels of protection, but you will have to pay a lot more for that protection.

Since I had a couple of hard drives and some other networking gear, these devices had larger plugs which would block one or two extra outlets. I personally screwed this surge protector under my wooden desk, and couldn't be happier. I no longer have to worry about each of my devices (and more) taking up 2-3 outlets and can manage the cables around it. I will most likely buy another one to mount on the back of my home entertainment shelf. It also has 2 usb ports which work well with my qi charger, and other chargers. I do wish that these were stocked in stores, so I didn't have to wait for shipping.
