I recently picked up two of these Insignia 8,000 mAh Portable Chargers. Hurricane Irma was reported to hit our area (Charlotte, NC) and so I wanted to be ready with backup power for the cellphones just in case. Thankfully we didn't need them as Irma skirted around us. I did however try the charger out and it worked perfectly. Initial charge for the battery pack took about 4 hours using a standard wall wart phone charger. Re-charged my LG G4 from about 38% to full in roughly 40 minutes or so. I didn't time it exactly. It barely made a dent in the level of the battery pack. . The phone was off while charging. I'd estimate you'd get about 2 1/2 to 3 charges from a fully charged battery pack. Worked great on my Nexus 6 too. Overall build quality is fine and it feels solid. Didn't get hot while charging the pack or re-charging a phone. Good deal for the price. My only complaint, if you could even call it that is the USB cord that comes with the battery pack is short only about a foot long. Gets the job done though.

The doble usb port allows versatility to charge my phone and laptop at the same time. Its easy to carry in your backpack or pants pocket due to slim/light shape and with 8000 mAh one charge can last for weeks or for 4 full phone charges and a full laptop charge.

i use a a phone with a relatively low battery capacity (1624 mAh), and this charger can recharge it multiple times. it’s very quick as well. i don’t have an exact time/power ratio, but the charging speed is very fast, comparable to or better than a wall charger. its very solidly built and sleek. my only complaint is the status bar showing the remaining power. its a row of 4 small holes with lights beneath, indicating 25, 50, 75%, etc. you need to tilt the charger at an angle in order to view the lights, which just feels a bit awkward. however, it doesn’t detract from the usefulness. overall, i’m satisfied.

Love that it does the job. It keeps my phone charged when I leave house and I don't have a lighter thing in my old 99 model car that works. I bought a longer cord for my phone to plug into it so I could put this in my backpack purse and keep phone on it while I'm gone. The short cord is only thing that comes with it. I has 4 blue lights when fully charged.

Each one of these portable chargers holds enough charges for all of my devices, cell phone ear buds and tablet. I highly recommend these chargers.

This charger is very good and very fast and charge more than one device at a time. Would definitely recommend to anyone

I needed a portable external battery for my cell phone. I also wanted one with two USB ports and an indicator as to how much battery it has. This is a perfect choice.

It’s a very nice product! It comes with a micro USB cable which let you charge the portable power with your PC. I will recommend you buy a External cable in case when your computer is not with you. It’s a good idea to purchase a two years extra warranty ($3.99) Incase anything happens with product.

I got this on the deal of the day and the price was too good to pass up. But it has the old USB style phone charger for Android type phones, not the new USB C chargers that all Androids have now. So now I have to have two charger cords. It comes with the old style cord, but if you have a newish phone, you then need the USB C cord to charge your phone from it. The picture is of the charger’s old style port and my new style USB C cord.

I used it in my car as a back up. It is very convinient and powerful unit. I hihgly recommend ot.

This power bank works great. Easy to use. Good product for few bucks

It doesn't want to charge my jaybirds tarah earbuds, even after I click the power button to turn it on. The output capacity is 5300mah, which explains why it had an asterisk(*) on the box.

I not up to date with portable charger & device I can not say I like or not yet

I am disappointed in the charger. It won’t completely charge my phone. It charges about half way. It’s very frustrating. I’d like to return it. It doesn’t charge one phone!

Return the product because the 4-hour chart does not work. So sad

This is a great portable cell phone charger that will charge two phones. The charger itself charges quickly. It is a slim line charger that can easily fit in a pocket. The portable charger provides two USB ports. Portable cellphone charger complete with its own charger and cable. Like it well enough that I bought a second one for my spouse.

I take this power bank with my in my business trips, is small and powerful enough to give me 2 full charges. It works great especially in those moments when everybody has taken all the power outlets in airport. Light weight and compact and very inexpensive makes it the best phone companion.

Charges my phone 3 times in a really small and lightweight form. Fits easily in my small backpack pocket and I’m never worried about losing power on a long flight. Really inexpensive too!

I bought it coz i needed a good power bank for my travel to Hawaii. I only not got the good one but THE BEST! it did charge my phone to full battery in an hour without depleting the powerbank. It Has 2 USB port that can charge for 2 phones. I highly Recommend this product. And Depending on how much battery left on your phone and you use it to charge, you will not have to worry about using it the next time . It does not get it depleted fast.

I bought this charger for a 2-week bus & train trip in Great Britain and it truly saved me several times. My phone is old and drains more quickly these days, so a backup battery was perfect for long periods of travel without access to a wall charge. I'd say that, with my particular circumstances, I got about 2 full uses out of it before needing to recharge it. It's lightweight and easy to carry, with a couple different ports. Not for super heavy usage but definitely useful, and a worthwhile purchase.
