I wasn’t expecting much from this system. My wife was looking for something inexpensive that had Bluetooth and could play back CDs in her office and I saw this. I liked the retro look but wasn’t expecting much. Boy was I wrong! For $80 on sale, this is the best price to performance ratio of any audio component that I know of. No it is not better than a Bose radio (though the bass is better) and it is certainly not better Google Home Max or a B&W Zepplin, but it plays in the same league as them. So here are the positives: Bass weight and extension Power to fill a room Bluetooth range Sound quality though line in The negatives: Limited sound stage due to speaker proximity Some harshness at times from CD Inadequate power for some headphones. I liked this unit so much that I bought another one for my bedroom, replacing my Audioengine 2 speakers and sub. It seems well built overall and although I do not know how reliable it will be, you can’t beat it for $79 or even $99.

I wanted a nice sound and a device that would look good on my end table. This stereo does all of that. I really like the USB feature and the remote control.

Sounds good and has plenty of volume for my garage. But FM radio reception with the supplied antenna was poor. I added an an FM antenna which required an "RF Coaxial Connector;Type : F Female to PAL TV Female Antenna Plug" and all is good. Bluetooth works well.

Nice compact radio, good reception, good sound, recommended for those who do not want the huge stereos in their living rooms. Does what they do at a fraction of the space and cost.

Does so much including Bluetooth streaming, am/Fm, CD, Aux in, plays cds, radio, usb port, you name it, og and It is definitely loud enough for what I need...

Love the sound, size, look of the unit! The antenna for FM radio is a little spotty, some based on placement. Overall a great purchase for the price!

Good choice , purchased on sale for half price, nice sounding radio and cd player. Built in sub woofer is nice.

I still have CDs. Hadn't played them in years and thought it was finally time. Also, had relative staying with me who uses CDs regularly. I wanted something that fit the mid-century modern style of my place and most CD players you can find nowaways still have that clunky 90s style to them. So, I loved the look of this and the that its also a radio, has bluetooth, etc etc. I haven't actually played any CDs yet, but all the other functions work well. Glad I got this one before it became hard to find!

My previous outstanding long ago acquired Cambridge Soundworks unit CD stopped working, and since I really couldn’t find anything comparable for sale new, I stumbled upon this Best Buy Insignia unit. It’s a bit oversized for the bedside table, but looks classy enough, and after setting it up have found the audio quality quite acceptable, if not quite hi-fi nirvana. FM reception in my area is quite acceptable, though the automatic scan setup didn’t work well, saving too many lower spectrum undesirable or marginal stations, thus requiring the somewhat cumbersome manual selection of preset stations. (Oh to have old analog dials make a comeback with FM signal strength capture!) The slot loaded CD player so far does fine, but I did purchase the extended warranty since a nonworking CD transport was what prompted replacing the former (admittedly more expensive) unit. I wish the blue clock display were dimmable because it’s frankly distractingly bright in a dark room overnight, but at this price point you can’t expect too many bells and whistles. I had to go to a different store to supposedly get a new in box unit, but it turned out to be an open box anyway, but supposedly intact per the open box sticker description; alas, I got it home only to find it missing the power cord. I took it back to the store, and they graciously provided a matching Insignia power cord no questions asked. Knowing how things are shoddily built anymore, I rarely have high expectations for inexpensive purchases like this, but I must say so far I am satisfied with the sound and ergonomics. If it lasts 1/2 as long as my previous bedroom clock radio CD player, I won’t complain.

Purchased for a birthday gift and sounds awesome. Was looking for a vintage look with updated features and this works wonderfully

The sound system on this is AMAZING, plus I love the fact that its Bluetooth enabled and I can play music and podcasts from my phone!

Love to use the Bluetooth feature of this stereo to listen to internet radio! Very easy to use

This is a great stereo system and just the right size.. The sound is great and the musical options are many. And the price was Fantastic!

We were looking for something to play our CD's that wasn't too big or took up alot of space. Nice to have the FM radio as well.

This unit works really well for my small apartment. I have not tried the cd out at this time. I feel confident it will be nice.

I got this for a very specific purpose; to replace my Bookshelf speakers on top of my dresser. It has decent bass and good mids, perfect for filling a room with background music. The aux-in and bluetooth offer some more connectivity options and the CD player is a nice blast from the past. It's basically the only CD player I have now. Also, radio. Radio is nice. Obviously there are better home audio systems. Ones where you can hook up better speakers to, ones that can play vinyl, but in the end this was just fine for my needs.

One of the Best sound systems I have. Just wish the unit can display the name of the mp3 being played.

This unit will surprise you when you crank it up. Looks can be deceiving. LOL It is clear and has great bass! Subwoofer built in
