They won't stay on the joystick if the original material is all worn off. They only stay on the joystick if the original coating is still on. So NOT a replacement at all.

Helps with slipping

I do wish that they were a bit higher up (to increase the height of the analog sticks) and weren't so easy to slip off if the game you're playing requires pressing in of the analog sticks for running, etc., but overall, they are good.
