The black color does look ok, though. The rubber casing helps with gaming but also transport. When carrying it room to room, i never feel it will slip from my grip. Considering how many cofffee cups and stuff i have dropped from lack of concentration, this is a good feature. I think it adds a little more protection from any rougher than normal bumps. It does add to the overall thickness. It doesnt fit seamlessly into the plastic stand that comes with the Ally in the box. So if you have any docking apparatus, you can use that as a basis for your decision.

The feel and grips are really good in hand. The cover does well with venting airflow. The only gripe i have with it is that the cover moves and sometimes it will cover a little of the screen depending on the movement. Alignment can be of sometimes but thats expected.
