This is how the original dock should have been. This dock by Insignia works PERFECTLY on both models of the Nintendo Switch (version 1 and version 2). Your screen will not get scratched with this dock. I will be purchasing a second one for another TV. Insignia products have proved to be of great quality. Thanks Best Buy!! Please note that the Nintendo Switch Lite will NOT work on this or any dock due to the hardware of the Lite. It is impossible to output to TV from the Switch Lite. I just wanted to clarify that in case anyone is wondering.

If you're looking for a Nintendo Switch Dock, go no further! The dock is small and compact, wayyy cheaper than the OEM dock from Nintendo and comes with both a power cable and HDMI. Great value and works perfectly.

I needed a second dock for my bedroom TV. This works great and is half the price of the official Nintendo dock. Plus it helps with the overheating/warping issues that the switch is known for. Love it.

This dock works perfectly with my launch Switch. Switch users have had a lot of problems with third party Switch Docks either not working or damaging their system. So far this dock has been free of any issues. Also, Nintendo hasn't patched out support for this dock like they have other third party solutions. I can only assume that means it's made to such a spec that the Switch itself can't differentiate between the Insignia and Nintendo branded dock or Nintendo has quietly given this product their unofficial approval. I have recommended this dock to several friends.

This dock is a great backup or replacement for the one that comes with the Switch. It came with a power cord and HDMI cable, which makes it an incredible value compared to competitive docks and dongles on the market. Its low profile looks great on the shelf, but the only downside is that slipping the Switch into the dock takes a little bit more effort than the Nintendo dock. Other than that, this dock works everytime as expected, and we've been very happy with it.

If you’re like me then you’ll know how much of a pain it is to find an extra Switch dock that won’t break your wallet. The insignia dock works flawlessly with the Switch. I haven’t noticed any difference in performance or clarity between it and the oem dock. It works perfectly and packs away nicely if you’re wanting to travel. My only criticism is how tight the opening where your Switch fits inside is. Make extra sure to have a screen protector as I can see this dock scratching the bottom of your screen every time you take it out or push it in.

I bought this for my nephew to leave at his grandparents so he didn't have to carry his original dock around with him. It doesn't bother me that you can't play in table top mode while charging but just from the design, you would think that it was an option. If you have a tempered glass screen protector on your switch, you should be able to dock it with no problem. I think the price is great for something that includes the dock, an HDMI cable and a USB-C AC charging adapter. If you like to travel with your accessories, this would definitely take up less space than the original dock.

This is a great Switch dock for a decent price. The video looks just as good as through the original and it is even smaller and more compact. Unlike the original you do have to hold a thumb on the base when lifting the system just to insure it doesn't pop up when undocking but it is really no problem and you won't even notice it. This looks very clean and well made next to my other systems. The best part is being able to dock the switch around the house with ease, so nice when you have kids.

Had to buy this after my original dock stopped working and it works better is smaller and cheaper don’t get suckered into buying the Nintendo brand one.

We purchased this for a second TV to use the switch on. It does exactly what it needs to - docks, charges, and connects to the TV. It's small and out of the way. Only negative is the green power light is constantly on when the switch is in there - regardless of if you're using the console or not. Word of warning: the fit is snug, but fine with my screen protector, but it definitely won't fit more than a bare switch with screen protector.

I've had this dock since Nov of 2019 and I've no issues whatsoever. It's a great second dock to have and I almost prefer over the dock that comes with the switch. Charges up my switch with no issue and also outputs to my monitor with clear sound and picture. So glad that I have finally found a good secondary dock that is much cheaper than Nintendo's. Highly recommended, you can't go wrong. It has caused no damage to my switch and I've been using it daily for months.

I have used this a few times already to connect my Switch to a second TV. There have been no issues with this dock so far, and I am pretty sure it is one of the third-party docks that is still recommended for use without bricking your Switch. I really think BestBuy (Insignia) did a good job in reverse-engineering the official Switch dock to handle all of its power needs.

So I purchased this more affordable version of the Switch dock kit. Let's start off with that it's half the price of the official Nintendo version and works amazing! I bought it so I can move my switch from the bedroom to the living room without having to buy a whole new system and prevent from unplugging wires and moving my original back and forth. I have had it for almost a year and it's totally worth the money. I suggest buying one for all the rooms you will need it in.

This dock works as good as the original from Nintendo. It is even better because it won't scratch your screen! And it is cheaper!!

This little dock exceeded my expectations. It comes with everything you need to get your Switch hooked up to the TV. Dock, HDMI cable, power cord. The design of the stand will not scratch the front of your Switch like the OEM stand is prone to do. So that's a huge plus! The only negative (if you can call it that) is that the power cord is not USB-C so it cannot be used to charge the Switch while not in the stand. No big deal for me. Just figured I'd mention it. Very glad I made this purchase. :)

So far it works. There were a couple of times we would dock the switch and it wouldn't transition right away to the tv but for the most part it seems to do what it it is intended to do. While it is not the same quality as Nintendo brand docks, it still works and at the fraction of the price. It is super convenient to pick up the switch and take it to another room with a tv and a dock and play immediately on the tv.

I got this with the first release and it outlived that Switch. I’m now using it with the OLED Switch for a spare room - no problem. Originally got this because the switch would get so hot in the original dock. This one lets it get more air and doesn’t get as hot.

For the price of this item, it really is a fair deal. You get the Dock, the power adapter, AND an HDMI cable for a little less than half of what Official Nintendo Dock retails for. My only gripe is that *if* you use a glass/tempered screen protector, it can potentially be a tight fit in inside the stand. YMMV, but at least you can always exchange it back in the store if it doesn't work to your satisfaction (Unlike a lot of the junk you at online E-tailers).

I have heard of third party docks bricking the nintendo switches but I decided to take a chance at this one and so far so good, it does what it says it does for less than the original dock price. Very easy to set up, don't have to worry about scratching the screen since it's open, works great. Tip: If you experience a signal issue when docking it, make sure you push the switch down well enough and also make sure the hdmi is put in all the way, if that does not work then I would try replacing the hdmi cable.
