I got a new laptop and was very excited about it until I had to use it to run a powerpoint projector. I was very excited to find this adapter. It worked flawlessly.

The adapter did transfer the signal from my hdmi laptop output to a vga monitor fine but when I used it to send a signal to a older projector I had, everything looked pinkish (color for dvd player was fine). I haven't figured this out yet but I think it's fine for newer equipment (of course what newer equipment uses vga). I did have to trim out a little of the plastice opening for one of my vga connections to fit in.

Simple fix for our issue of compatibility and ease of use for us and our kids. Made hooking up external items a breeze.

needed to get the adapter as the HP desktop uses HDMI for its video output. I am quite happy with my current Dell monitor and didn't want to spend another two hundred plus dollars for a new monitor.

The Olympus tg5 is an excellent camera. Easy to set up. If you are using a chip from another camera reformat it before using it in the new camera.
