This is exactly what I needed to connect my new laptop to my older monitor. I easily found this at Best Buy and it works great.

After sever other purchases of essentially the same thing and all of them breaking within weeks, I finally got an adapter that isn't cheap plastic junk. Works like a charm!

My new laptop is not equipped wth vga but my projector has a vga input. This adapter converted the hdmi output on my laptop to vga enabling me to make my presentation normally.

Works Great. Plug it in, download the drivers, wait for the installation to complete then hook up the TV/Monitor. No problems with windows 10.

This adapter was great at converting HDMI to VGA. Hooked it into computer, adapter was recognized and now can use slightly older monitor with a newer computer.
